Disney Dream ~ September 15, 2011

Hi everyone!

I'd just like to drop in and introduce myself. DW (TifffanyD) & I have just booked ourselves on this cruise and we're really looking forward to it. This will be our 4th DCL sailing and 6th cruise overall. We have 2 3-Night cruises under our belts and one 7-Night. This past October we had our first 7-Night Disney Cruise and had a blast (looks like we're sailing together again, tjbaggott...remember us?). We really wanted to get on the Dream at some point, but didn't think we would be able to for a while...but then we found this cruise and the time worked out well for us.

We're really looking forward to the ships new features (like the AquaDuck), and we hope that it will be warm enough in Castaway Cay to venture out in the water to try out Pelican Plunge...the water was a bit too cold on our last trip to Castaway Cay.

to you schimj and family. We have a pretty nice group here, and I know you will enjoy counting down the time until the cruise with all of us.

Have ya'll checked out the trip report section. Someone has posted a nice report with photo's about their 3 day cruise on the Dream. It is very nice. The trip report thread is named "Disney Dream Pics." Go the the first post on the first page and click on Trip Report in blue. It will take you to their report with the photo's. Saw some interesting new innovations Disney has put in the Dream. Like - inserting your KTTW card in a slot by the door inside your stateroom to be able to turn on your lights in your stateroom. Check out this trip report!!! Very nice photo's of the Dream!!!

Hello everyone...hope you are having a good day. Another cold and windy day here in Southern Delaware...right now it is 29 degrees with a real feel of 6 degrees and 19 mph winds. Had about an inch of snow last night. This has been a terrible winter!!!!

hello! not sure we will be joining you but I am trying to convince dh that we can keep our eyes open for an inside cabin to come available (all gone now) so that we can join in! We are cruising Sept 18 - 25th on RCCL Freedom w/ dh's family (if it had been our choice we would be cruising DCL) our family is dying to cruise on the Dream or the Fantasy. We cruised the Magic Sept 2009 and it was FABULOUS!! So send Pixie Dust our way and congrats to all you that are booked I will be keeping an eye on this thread.

to the thread! We were at CC twice in Sept. 2010 on the DVC members cruise. The first day the water was WARM! The second day the water was a bit cold. Strange how two days can make a difference in water of that mass!!!! Hopefully it will be warm for us on this cruise!!! Pelican Plunge is really fun!

Sending lots of pixie dust your way. I hope an inside stateroom becomes available for you. You could always book an outside stateroom and ask them to put you on a wait list to go to an inside stateroom and if one doesn't become available before the cut off date to cancel then you just cancel. (I think that's how you do it)

Well everyone, got my schedule for when I semi-retire in February. I will work 3 short days on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. That means.............say it with me everyone...................I will get Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday off!!! Man oh man, it keeps gettin' better n' better everyday!!! (Now if I can only convince DW to let me sleep in all of those days too!!!!) That ain't happen' She has already started a hunny do list for me. From the looks of that ol' hunny do list, I'll be workin' harder at home then I do at my job!!!!!

The only thing I am really concerned about is who is going to help me find the TV remote!!! You can train a dog to find the remote...........Go find the remote boy.............find the remote..........and he will wag his tail a look at you with happy eyes and go find your remote. But we have 3 cats and if I was to say.......go find the remote girls..........find the remote..........they would look at me a think..........ehhhh........go find it yourself idiot!!!!

Schimj, yes, I just saw the start of your post, and thought "HEY WE JUST CRUISED TOGETHER!!!!" Great to have you on board at the same time again! Remember threeiscrazy (aka Sheri)? I'm trying to talk her into cruising with me on this one too.

Keep an eye out too for CAT 9's. Even though they aren't inside staterooms, they cost less!!!!!! Supply and demand! I think the virtual portholes on the inside staterooms caused it to turn this way.

We'll be joining you too. It'll be the second part of our back to back celebrating oldest dd's graduation. It'll be myself, dh, dd (17), ds (13), dd (7), ds (7).

This will be a great, relaxing cruise for us after the previous one with the huge mob of family that will be with us on that one.

Debbie, thanks, I received your email with the list thus far. I've already gotten busy on the kids gifts, but don't know what I'll do for the adults this time around, yet.

I'm waiting for my TA to call so I can pay off the 4 day part of this B2B, that'll feel good to have that part done. Then just a little more for this portion of the cruise, then I can concentrate on purchasing my airfare or whatever method of transportation I'll be taking. It's becoming more and more real.
I keep seeing the Disney World and Disney Land commercials about memories, that show home video clips of kids that have been surprised with a Disney Vacation. The happy screaming, and excited laughter and smiles,,, wish to heck I could pull that kind of reaction out of my boys. Twice now we've gotten blank looks. They keep it all inside. As my DS13 told me this past fall "I was Bursting with excitement on the inside, but I didn't want strangers seeing that on the outside"........ I'll never stop trying from getting such a boisterous reaction though!!

Judy that is so funny. Our granddaughter Emily, when something exciting is happening, likes to say she is screaming in her head!!! I guess kids are all alike.

Well, is everyone going to watch the Dreams Christening Wednesday at 10:30am? I sure would love to, but I have to work. I hope I can find a video of the ceremony online somewhere later that evening. If anyone knows of one let me know.

We've never done a b2b and unfortunately have to change rooms. Have to figure out how that works.

We're going to need this cruise after having so much of the family-both sides- together on the first one.
