Disney Dream ~ September 15, 2011

David...thank you for sharing the link.

Wow...she is just beautiful. I can't wait. Will be so much fun exploring the ship!!!!

I see you are in New Port Richey, FL...will you be able to see the Dream arrive at Port Canaveral? I will have to find the Port Canaveral webcams so I can see her.

Well Monika, we live on the other side of the state of Florida, about 25 miles northwest of Tampa as the crow flies. But thank goodness Florida is not a very wide state. It would take us about 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours to drive over to Port Canaveral from our home. (That's if I'm driving - if DW is driving it would take a little longer!!!) When we are cruising with Disney, what we like to do is the day before the cruise stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort at WDW. Then on the day of the cruise drive over from WDW. This cuts our driving time a little over half. We are going to try and find out when the Dream is suppose to arrive in Port Canaveral and then go over to see her if at all possible. If we do I will get some photo's a post them for all to see.

Good Morning everyone...hope you are having a good day. So far I am...it's 58 degrees here and raining. Supposed to rain most of the day.

David...thank you for the link...I love seeing everything about the Dream...I look foward to the cruise...:cool1:

Here is the link to the Port Canaveral webcam...the Disney Wonder is in port right now...you will be able to see her. This is the link you may be able to see the Dream when she finally comes to port. Enjoy!!!!

Just wanted to pop in to say hi to everyone. Hi:wave2:

I haven't got any new links for ya'll to check out yet today. I have been watching the construction going on the Dream at Myer Werft's webcam. It is fun to watch like Monika said.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hello everyone...hope you are having a great Friday!!! :)

I've been watching the Meyer Werft webcam...I just can't get enough. Also, did you watch Good Morning America this morning? They were in Papenburg, Germany aboard the Dream. The reporter went on the AquaDuck...now that looked like sooooo much fun...I will be going on...that's for sure. The Dreams cruise director had some camera time...her name is Rachel and she is from Australia...she is one of the best cruise directors DCL has!!!!!! I would love to see one of the cabins with the virtual portal.

Hi David!

Hi Monika!

I didn't watch GMA because I'm at work, but I set the DVR to record it for me! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to watch it tonight!!!!!!!

I agree with you about Rachel being the best cruise director. She was our cruise director on our first cruise on the Magic. That is wonderful that she is going to be cruise director on the Dream! Man on man this cruise keeps getting better and better all of the time!!!

Hi Luckymomoftwo. I'm at work also and had to set my DVR to record the GMA show this morning too. Like you, DW and I will watch it as we eat our dinner tonight. This is going to be such a great cruise everyone!!! Have any of you seen the short video's AOL Travel has made about the Dream? They are very good. One of the newest ones shows several scenes inside the ship. Check it out!!!:thumbsup2

Hi Debbie...thank you for the info--AOL travel. I will check it out.
Good Morning America...there are several stories throughout the show. Enjoy!!!!

David....you're right...it's getting better and better. Rachel was cruise director on the Magic on our first Disney cruise too. Our other favorite cruise director is Brent!!!!!

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope all are having a GREAT week-end. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm counting down days now to retirement day!!! It was months, then weeks, now it is days. Well, actually, I still should be counting weeks, but what the hey!!! I'm counting work days - Monday thru Friday. At Christmas time DW and I are off the week between Christmas and New Year's. So, my last day at work will be Thursday December 23rd. We get the 24th off as a holiday since Christmas falls on a Saturday this year. So, it is 32 working days until RETIREMENT!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1: (So if any of you out there in DIS Land want to get me a retirement or Christmas gift.....................I have made a list.):lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Well, ya'll have a great week-end!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hello everyone...hope you're having a great Saturday.

Check out the Port Canaveral webcam to see the Magic. She leaves port at 5pm.

David...thank you for the link...love his photos. I keep going to the Meyer Werft cam to see the Dream. 32 working days until retirement....:cheer2::cheer2: congratulations!!!! DH is still in a big countdown....he has over 3,000 days until he retires.

Have a good evening and take care.:)

Just wanted to wish everybody a very Happy Monday. Have fun all, but be safe.
I'm at work now...................aaaaarrrrrrrrrggghhhhhhhh!!!! Work does get in the way of my Disney FUN!!!! (But not much longer!!!!):cool1::cool1::cool1:
Hope ya'll have a great day!!!:thumbsup2

Hello everyone!!! We are BACK!!!!! Not that I'm tooooo happy to be saying that. Our cruise aboard the Disney Magic was Phenomenal!!!! Several times on Debarkation day, DS7 said "Please mom, PLEEEAAASSSE, take us on the the Dream or on the Magic AGAIN!!!" This coming from the boy who over the summer was telling me again and again, he's never going on another boat or ship again EVER EVER EVER, and I couldn't make him, nope, Noway, NEVER...... Because it might sink". :rotfl2:

We set sail on the Dreams Float out day, and there was NOTHING on board the Magic to highlight or inform us on the happneings :sad2: Oh well.

After our LOOONNNNGGG drive home, I MUST find a way to arrange for us to fly for the Dream Cruise next year. The only thing is, we stopped in St. Augustine on the way home. We stopped specifically for the Disney Outlet store there. AMAZING Place!! They even had cruise line stuff, most items 70% or more off the cost on the ship or in WDW. So we went NUTS shopping and now I realize there are still some items I WISHED I had gotten but didn't, because DH was in a hurry to get back on the road (23 hour drive and all). If we fly down next year, I think it would be worth the cost of renting a car and driving to that Disney Store and back in a day (it's only 2 hours from Cape Canaveral). I still have all this unpacking to do. I also notice that staring at my computer screen is giving me the vetigo feeling I had on the ship (the times the ship went through the gulph stream), WOW, where's my Dramamine?????

I did pick up some gifts for my boys for this Christmas to reveal the DREAM Cruise to them. Because at this point, I think THATS ALL they are getting.
Anyway, now I can start planning for the Dream. It's been fun catching up on this board. Now I'll go check out the 1st half our Dream B2B:thumbsup2

Nice!! My DH wants to do the ghost tour at the lighthouse there. But, I'm not sure I'd want to do it the night before we cruise though. :confused3

Hey DizDragonfly, that sounds like it would be fun to do the lighthouse ghost tour in St Augustine.:scared1::scared1: I've seen it on TV on one of those ghost shows on the Travel Channel, it looks like it would be allot of fun. They even do a ghost tour of the city of St Augustine.:scared1::scared1: Maybe ...............after your Disney Cruise...........good idea???? Just trying to help!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yeah, we saw the lighthouse on Ghost Hunters (on Syfy Channel). It was the most compelling piece of evidence for ghosts that I've ever seen. Gave me serious chills! I'm sure we'll try it sometime. I'm just not sure when.

Karen (DizDragonfly) off topic here, but I love your avatar! I have a Boston Terrier, Duchess, she is the best dog I've ever had!

Thanks! We love Bostons. We've had three others (passed on now) and currently have the little princess in my avatar, Alta, and a Boston/French Bulldog mix named Boe. :goodvibes
