Disney Dream ~ September 15, 2011

My Grandaughter spent the weekend at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Downtown Disney getting transformed in to a Princess! I can not figure out how to post the photsso I just made one my avatar. She had a blast!!!!

ADORABLE! Do you have a photobucket account? It's free and I can tell you how to post a picture here from that website.

Thanks for the heads up!! :thumbsup2 Question....have you looked at the web cam tonight? Do you know what they are doing? There is a crane taking things off of a small barge and placing them in the water. :confused3:confused3:confused3

It's 5:26am and DW and I just watched the Dream sail into port this morning.:surfweb: Ya know, this is pretty darn early to be up and moving aroiund. DW asked if she could sleep in while we are on the cruise.:lmao: I said, sure can, and I'm sleeping in too!!!:cool1::banana:

No I don't know what they are doing with that crane and barge. I made the image larger, but that didn't help any. Very interesting!!!

Whoever mans the camera at www.portcanaveralwebcam.com don't get in until around 7:30 or 8:00am. So we will have to wait until then to see the Dream docked at Disney's Terminal. Also this is the firat day for the terminale to open at 11:00am, This will be interesting to see just how this goes. Talk to ya'll later!! You can go back to sleep now!!!

We are deck 7 as well. Not far from mid ship elevators #7570.

Neighbor!!!! 7616 here! Aren't ya just itchin' with excitement?! A couple years ago we were within a couple weeks of a WDW trip when my oldest son out of nowhere just randomly said to me, "Mom, I feel the burn." I was like, "What burn??? You sick? Your stomach hurt?" He said, "No. It's that ready to be at Disney burn. Don't you feel it?" :cutie: Of course! So that's what I feel today: The Burn!

....and my TA sent word today that our waitlist for first dinner rotation came thru! Now hubby doesn't have to choose between eating in the main dining rooms and sleeping laying down! :cool1: And I don't have to stress over getting onboard to try to change it! Double-->:cool1::cool1:

Me too, Me too :yay: We are in 7069 which is actually kinda closer to Toria then you (just around the corner). But we are close to you also. ;) Will make it easy to deliver fe gifts. :thumbsup2
Becky

Yay! I need to go look at the map again!

Yeah, last night I picked up one of the bags that has one of my FE gifts in it and it hit me ---><--- that I have to actually carry some of this stuff onto the ship. The bag I picked up wasn't exactly lightweight. And one of my other gifts is gonna be even heavier. Double -->:eek: I guess that's what I have sons and a hubby for: pack mule service. :lmao: It's good to be the Princess, huh? I suppose these are the rookie mistakes of the first-timers....

It's good to be the Princess...

:thumbsup2 (of course it is good to be the Princess)

Thanks again to all for the well wishes during my recent illness and rare condition issue/diagnosis. It is finally starting to leave me alone and I feel MUCH better :upsidedow

We mailed the reception invities for my dd's reception. Since she is having the disney wedding and there are only 17 people going with us for the wedding we invited EVERYONE to the reception. We will see how many respond. Due to their Disneymoon we are having the reception on Oct. 1st. I thought it was bad having to plan one event - essentially we are planning two seperate events. But it is for a good reason

Ok I gotta run - hope everyone is having a good week.

I am feeling the burn too! We are almost at the 30 day mark. My kids start school in 3 weeks, so they are excited about that and the cruise. Our cruise countdown calendar is doubling as a back to school countdown calendar as well. I can't wait to meet everyone.

If your FE is heavy, I better re-enforce my pockets, they might rip right off. :rotfl2:
I have done a PTR and it has pictures of it. I made it myself, that explains a lot. I am still working on my gifts.

Oh no! My gifts individually aren't heavy. The one I picked up I have 1 for each family. The one I think will be heavier is the one that I did for each adult. :thumbsup2

Hi from a newbie to DCL  Me and my husband to be will be celebrating our honeymoon and first ever cruise on the Dream. We are so excited, can't wait for September to get here already. So if you see us do say hello :)

That's great news!

You can ship your FE Gifts to the port. Just make sure you bring an extra suitcase to carry the gifts you receive back home. :goodvibes

Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Welcome Stefy!!! And congrats! We're first time cruisers, too, and celebrating our 18th anniversary.

Refresh my little pea-brain memory, y'all. Wasn't there a group meet on embarkation day? What time and where are we trying to do it? Will the time be altered at all because of the new port opening time??? I need to start writing all this down. So many meets and phone numbers and stuff for the entire 2 week adventure. I don't want to forget anyone!

Did I mention that our anniversary will be our 18th as well? We aren't really "celebrating" it on this trip, because it's in December, but I suppose we could. :rotfl2:

We should do a group meet on the ship. I'm not sure when or where though. :confused3

Oh wow, 18yrs congrats :) Will defo be a cruise to remember and a great way to celebrate :goodvibes
