Disney Dream ~ September 15, 2011

Hi everyone~!~

spent the night in the hospital after an early morning e.r. visit yesterday.

Wasn't any fun. Then what they diagnosed me with is so rare most of the doc/nurses have never heard of it. Had to have it diagnosed with a g.i. doc and a cat scan. UGHHHH But then again maybe I am just one of those "rare" gems.

Seriously - I need a vacation.

thank you for the well wishes. Forgot to mention that part of why I ended up in the hospital overnight was a bad reaction to the Dilaudid that they gave me in the e.r. That drug is on my "bad" list now

The doc said I would be better in about a week with my new drug therapy. Time will tell

All that being said I almost finished the fe for Laura who is my dd's maid of honor. I am making hers because she is coming from Australia for the wedding and since she is staying in our room I took care of all the fe gifts for our room. besides that it is a surprise for her.

I know we are for the cruise. Counting down the days. We just saw that the Disney on Ice show will be in town here the weekend before the cruise so I bought tickets for my grandaughter and my mom (and me). Wanted to get some Disney running through her blood as a lead up to her cruise! We are looking for a little princess dress for her to wear too. I have never been on a Disney Cruise before, but many other cruises. They always have a "formal" night on them. Is this the same on Disney? Was not sure since this is such a short one.

There's no "Formal" night on the shorter cruises, However the 4 nights have whats called and "Optional Dress Up Night". The 3 night cruise though... I say, Choose a night and MAKE it your own formal or dress up night

Ooooh...I was thinking there was a dress-up (not formal) night. If not, that's good news. That's less outfits to have to work on & pack for.

Are we getting excited yet?! I know we are. Hubby didn't say a word about our countdown (to our departure) like he does every day. When we sat down to eat last night he just looked at me, smiled, and held up both hands with 4 fingers up on each.

I watched the Dream sail out to sea a little while ago!!! DW has to work late this evening, so she missed it. I could even see someone riding the AquaDuck!!! Lucky Ducks!!! Well gang, soon it will our turn!!!

I just called DCL with a question and found out that if you completed your online check in and chose 10:30 as your check in time, you have automatically been moved to 11:00. The terminal opens at 11:00 instead of 10:30 now. If you get there before 11:00 you will be waiting outside.

It used to be 10:00 that it opened so the change is by an hour. As long as they are saying we'll be waiting outside, thats not a problem as we had to do that for our cruise last fall. The walkway there is a covered area. The cruise for me begins once I'm on terminal property. I know others will be there, and we'll have fun chatting the time away. It all depends too for me what time the rental car place gets us there by shuttle when I have to return the rental car by 9am. I wonder if they will change their shuttle times to coincide with the new terminal times. It's funny though how DCL has not notified each reservation by making a note on the site when you log in.

My Grandaughter spent the weekend at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Downtown Disney getting transformed in to a Princess! I can not figure out how to post the photsso I just made one my avatar. She had a blast!!!!

So all of you early risers out there................you know who you are........................you who get up with the chickens.....................roll out of bed running...............I expect to see you on there watching the Dream pull into port. DW and I get up at 4:30am Monday thru Friday, so we'll be watching. I want to see your smiling faces there too!!!! Seriously, folks the Dream is pulling into port tomorrow. Just wanted to give ya'll a heads up!!!

Thanks for the heads up!! Question....have you looked at the web cam tonight? Do you know what they are doing? There is a crane taking things off of a small barge and placing them in the water.
