We have brunch scheduled for Sunday. I heard based on the test cruise they are not offering the buffet, but rather serving you a seafood and antipasto plate, as well as a selection of breads, in addition to the entrees.

This is exactly what I want to see, is the Brunch on the Dream following the same format as the UK cruise (hope not) or is the full seafood buffet in place just being served by cast members.

Correct although from the sounds of it you could ask for more on the appetizers but hadn't really looked too closely.

I heard this thirdhand, from a CM on the Dream test cruise -- didn't realize it was the same on the Magic in the UK (though I'm not surprised).

Disney waited until 17 days prior to sailing to announce absolutely anything. When they did it was not exactly the most straight forward thing. Disney yesterday even recognized their error (imo) by not having a pre cruise checklist of things needed to be done each of the days, they posted a site sometime last night regarding this checklist.

Disney should have also been proactively reaching out to every single guest who did not file a vaccination card or did not order the test kits through their vendor.

Yes personal responsibility but also lets not completely let Disney off the hook here. We are now at 25 days remaining until the Fantasy cruise where one of the ports is a Level 4 CDC country and requires 100% vaccination of 12+ on the cruise ship to dock.

Saw on some videos, same sling bag and luggage tags from 2 years ago. sigh.

Whatever warehouse has all those needs to mysteriously disappear so they can order all new supplies of a new gift.

The more I read and see about the process and the onboard experiences (or lack thereof) the less excited I am to sail in November. Too many rules and regulations tend to suck the fun out of things. And before anyone jumps down my throat, blah blah blah it's a pandemic etc. I get it. I may have to take it. But don't have to like it.

Sad part is someone in design and purchasing is like well we had this fabulous replacement for 2021 but.. we now have 1.5 years of gifts left

Was it your first cruise? The sling bag is hard to forget (I have 5 in my stack).

to arriving and regarding screening. I do have a question though. That test in the video is that what
they are using for kids? I'm confused.

We had so many of those round, red and black bags around 10 years ago that we started to look for new cruisers and give it to them. People were thrilled. Also I gave some to a coworker with little kids who did one Disney cruise therefore never received the CC gift.

Fairly sure that is the standard test they do at port but not 100% sure.
