We are booked on this cruise also - just switched to it from a Mexican Riviera one. Julie & Pam, we sailed with you guys last year. It will be me, DH, DD 9 & DS 6. We are so excited to see the new ship!

Julie we need to start making a list......I know for sure that Leissa and I will both be doing FE....so put us down. After I get back from the TransAtlantic, I will be able to concentrate on this cruise.

Evening all ... we're booked on this one too. They'll be me and my partner Mick in one cabin then our friends Tina, DH Nigel and DD Elle in another. Elle will be 13 at the time of the sailing and I'm sure she'd be interested in emailing other cruisers if they're around the same age.

Have just come off the Med Repo (Dover-Barcelona) and had a ball .. Mick and I are also on the maiden voyage of the Dream in January .. I'll be sure to report back here first to give you all the juicy gossip!

Would love to be part of the FE list too and happy to organise if necessary, although sounds like this has already been covered!

I have not done this before so I may need some pointers.

I just can not wait for this thread to get really rolling.

FE exchanges are great. Basically you hang a sort of 'shoe organiser' outside of your door from the metal fish (this is where they put your daily Navigator/activities paper). People decorate their Fish Extenders to make them personal .. I'll try to find a picture of mine so you can see.

I don't know how this one will be run, but the norm is for everyone to be given a set day to deliver their presents. If there's lots of people, sometimes the list can be split to make smaller groups, or sometimes you just have 2 people delivering on each day.

Presents can be anything small and light (think of those luggage allowances!) .. perhaps something from your home town, homemade gifts or anything really!!

We love FE .. some of the gifts we received last week were fab

I have been thinking about what would be easy to carry onto the ship. If I am going to do some sort of craft, I had better get started soon.

This will be our third (and fourth!) DCL trip...We have done a 4 night Bahamas and an Eastern. We are trying the B2B setup (10/9/11 AND 10/13/11 Dreams this time around to get a whole week on the new ship and cannot wait!

We are a family of 6, DH, myself, DS 13, DD 10, DS 8 and DS 3 (ages at cruise time). Our kids are looking forward to the clubs again and meeting new friends, too!

We're probably not joining you all now unfortunately. We're booked for the 7 night Med cruise on the Magic in August so we'll have to knock this one on the head.

How does back to back work? Do you have to get off the ship & hang out in the terminal for hours & then re-board with everyone else?

We have luckily booked the same 2 cabins for both cruises for our B2B. So, as I have been told by CM, our rooms reservations will be linked as same family and B2B, so our rooms will be ignored, so to say, between the cruises. We can leave our belongings as is in the rooms and only we will have to disembark, go through quick customs and then we will be able to reboard quite early for the 2nd trip. Supposedly, one pool and quick service restaurant should be available for our use while waiting for boarding to really begin. Sounds exciting and can't wait to see how this all goes...

Hi all! We are planning this cruise! Was planning another week long vacation at WDW, when DH announced he wanted to do something different So I suggested we do a combo WDW and DCL cruise. This will be our first cruise. I'm 99.99% sure this will be our cruise date, but have to clear vacation time with our jobs (can't do that 'til November). But unless something happens, this is our date of choice! So count us in, and if the unforeseen happens , will keep you posted!

This will be our first ever cruise! We are:
me (Andie), DH (Allen), DS (Tyler - will be 13 date of cruise), and DD (Alex -will be 6 date of cruise)

Hey KState - where you from? (former UNK grad/lived in KC).
