Disney Dream October 6, 2013

We gonna be on that cruise too !! First Time! So excited. Me, my husband, my three girls ( 10, 7 and 10 month) Affraid a little bit with the baby but its Disney... Its gonna be magical ! Speak French :0)

Bonjour! That is all I remember from 8th grade French class. It was a LONG time ago.

Welcome to our group!

Okay, where can I go to get an explanation of what FE program is and is it too late to sign up? Thanks

Below is explination of it I found a blog that sums it up:

Named for the decor from which they hang, fish extenders are usually handmade pocket organizers (similar to a shoe caddy or mail organizer) customized with names, favorite Disney characters, etc. These pocket organizers are hung from a decorative fish ornament that is attached to the wall outside of each cabin on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.

Prior to the cruise, fish extender groups are formed and organized via an online Disney fan site (here...lol). Once numbers are finalized, each member of the group prepares a gift for the other participating cabins. There are no rules regarding gifts (no minimum or maximum dollar value). Often times, the gifts are handmade, but not always. Once the cruise has commenced, participants deliver their gifts to the other participating staterooms, leaving them as a surprise in the fish extender pockets. One of the most fun aspects of taking part in a fish extender group is checking in throughout the day to see what little goodies are waiting.

The most recent list is a few pages back for our cruise so far... we are at 13 cabins - 40 ppl. Some people do cabin gifts and some do gifts for each person. Google Fish extender and you will get a ton of ideas of gifts and the actual fish extender. Some of the gifts are disney crafts and some are momentos from your home...anything goes!!!

We have set a cutoff of Sept 2 for people to sign up to help insure there is enough time to get things together. Some sailings have multiple groups, but ours is staying small.. I guess if we start to get alot of last minute people signing up we may split the group to keep things manageable (sounds like 20 cabins is a good max from my research).

If you are interested, I will add you to the list.

I am wondering how many people are planning on bringing costumes now that the Dream has official Halloween themed activities. I didn't want to pack heavy, but I also don't want to disappoint the kids and Halloween is our Anniversary. :confused3

Bringing for our daughter but not us..unless an incredible costume at an incredible price suddenly appears!

My DD will have a costume. I will have adult costumes for the MNSSHP but am not sure about brining them on the ship. Don't even know what they are yet. I am so far behind.

This is updated as of July 25... 13 cabins, 42 people

Cutoff is Sept 2.

Amongst my endless research.. do we want to cap it at 20.. so cutoff at 20 cabins or Sept 2, whichever comes first? Then a 2nd FE group could start if necessary?

GREAT!! I will get you added to the list.

For those that don't have names on the list.. sometimes people do personalized gifts (not sure if anyone on this cruise is).. so feel free to get me your names to put on the list. If not, that is totally OK too

The cutoff of Sept 2nd is a good date. That gives us lots of time to get everything arranged. Even if we don't know everyone's cabin by then, at least we will know who is in.

The cap of about 20 is good. If we end up getting a lot added in the next month, then when Sept 2nd comes around, if it's a lot more than 20, then we could just split it in half maybe. We can all discuss that nearer the end of August as it will totally depend on how many we have signed up.

It's getting closer! :cool1:
