Howdy!
Just wanted to make a quick note that in a few days we'll be out of town for a bit, and I won't be able to check the boards as often as usual. So if anyone posts a question, or anyone new joins, please know that I'm not ignoring you! I'll respond as soon as I'm able.

(And I'm not sure what's up with the "welcome" smiley that I've been using to welcome new members to our thread. It seems to come and go. )

We're back! (Not that anyone missed me )
Our 60 days FP booking date is coming up fast! We have a planning day with my parents this weekend to finalize our first run at choosing FP's and a touring plan. Now that our other out-of-town visiting family trip is done we can focus on the Disney trip and cruise (along with back to school, kids rummage sale, and other busy odds and ends of course).

My boys are excited about another boy close to their age! (My boys will be 5, 10, and 12.)

Did you book a guaranteed room? I believe I read that those types of reservations usually have their cabin number assigned about 30 days before the cruise - either via email or just appearing in your reservation on the My Cruise site. It is our very first cruise, so I don't have lots of knowledge on that type of thing, but I'm sure someone else here can lend a hand.

For the Fish Extender groups, we are collecting and sharing the info in a private "conversation" here on the Disboards.
I can add you to the conversation where we can post the stateroom numbers, names or initials (and ages for kids), and other info, so you don't have to post that on this public forum if you don't want to.
You do need to have 10 posts on the Disboards before you can participate in a "conversation", but there are lots of great posts here to reply to (fun to read other trip/cruise reports and comment on them), and you might have questions you want to post, or you can use the test board- http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/ . Once I see you have 10 posts, I will add you to the conversation, and then as soon as the system updates you should see it show up in your "Inbox" at the top right next to your name.

Today was the first day of school. After seeing off the kiddos, I went shopping. Our local JoAnn Fabrics just had a grand opening in a new larger store and I picked up some magnets and magnet tape. (Plus they were giving away a free large oval JoAnn Fabrics magnet that I can repurpose!) Gotta get busy on my door magnet designs!

But I recently read that balloons are not allowed on the cruise, which is a bummer because one of the ideas I had for FE gifts for kids was various Mickey / Princess / and Star Wars balloons (uninflated of course) that I've been getting at Dollar Tree. Oh well, have to save them for Trick or Treat gifts or class or party favors.
Now that it's September we can say next month is our cruise!!!!

Just a quick summary FE update.
So far we have had 9 cabins express an interest in joining our FE group.
5 followed up and joined the conversation where we are inputting and sharing our info, but then 1 backed out of the FE.
That leaves us with 4 confirmed cabins in the FE so far:
CheriePenguin - 1A, 3Ch
JKPark - 2A, 2Ch
Danielle729 - 2A, 1Ch
EricaReich - 2A, (0Ch)
So currently: 4 cabins, 7 adults, 6 children confirmed in the FE group.

The following DIS members expressed interest in the FE, but have not confirmed with their information in the conversation:
Bugsmom06, Brown5dl, JamMom, and Heater_R .
Please let us know whether or not you are still interested in joining the FE, and if so, add your info to the conversation in your "Inbox" (Heater_R, I can invite you to the conversation once you have 10 posts).

I just found this forum while searching through ETSY to purchase our FE for this cruise. This is our 9th Disney Cruise but first time we were interested in doing the FE exchange and meet up. I was hoping their might be room for us to still join?! We would LOVE to participate in the fun. My husband and I are bringing our 2 boys Hunter(8) and Parker(5). Our cabin is on the 8th floor and I can send further details if you are able to squeeze us in. I am new to using this forum so not sure how to join a private conversation that you mentioned in an earlier post. I look forward to hearing if we can join the fun.

Just a quick update.
CheriePenguin, JKPark, Danielle729, and EricaReich have all confirmed they are participating in the FE, and Cara Wieckowski has joined us. So currently: we have 5 cabins, 9 adults, 8 children confirmed in the FE group.

We are planning to close group1 (the Mickey group!) Sept. 25th so people can get to work on any purchases, personalization, or creating for their FE gift ideas.

So, is anyone interested in meeting up on the ship? I thought it would be neat for adults (and kids) to get a chance to meet that first afternoon / evening. We've never cruised before, so I don't have a good idea of schedules or locations. When and where would people suggest meeting up?

So ideas on if, when, and where to do a quick meet up on the ship? Anyone interested?

I found some cute pirate head scarfs at the Dollar Store - inexpensive and easy to pack! Still have to figure out what kind of Pirate and/or Halloween costume to bring for each of us.

I started ironing on the transfers for some of our matching shirts. It always takes way longer than I think it should. And DH keeps saying I just make unnecessary work for myself!

And I'm working on assembling my FE gift bags! Still have quite a bit of creating & customizing to do on a few things.

Now that it's October, we can say our trip is THIS month! It's exciting, but I'm also getting nervous because there's still so much to do!
