Disney Dream: Nassau - Non Disney Excursion?

Hello, our family is going on the Dream in a few months. My husband and I are vaccinated, along with our children. To get off the boat in the Bahamas, can we do our own thing (Resort Day Pass / Shop), or do we have to do a Port Adventure through Disney? I want to ensure we won’t have issues getting back on the boat (testing, temp checks, etc.,)? What has been your experience? Just trying to explore our options. Thanks in advance!

Fully vaccinated Guests who wish to disembark the ship while in a port of call can do so without purchasing a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure. Guests who are vaccinated and wish to disembark the ship with unvaccinated children will need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure. All Guests are required to adhere to local laws, regulations and protocols, including those related to health and safety, in place at the destination.

As long as you're all vaccinated, you can do whatever you want in Nassau. There will be no testing or temp checks or any other checks upon your return to the ship. I sailed the Magic in October and went to Atlantis Aquaventure independently. It was fantastic and there were no hassles. You do have to show a picture (on your phone is just fine) of the front side of your vaccine cards to be allowed into Atlantis.
