Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Good Evening Fellow Cruisers!!

I did not know that Marci had to cancel either. I had wondered where she was, but just thought she was working through her treatments. I offer up prayers for a quick recovery.

Love bugs remind me of lightening bugs....but so MANY! :scared1: We've been to FL in June many times and have never had a problem with them. Here's hoping THIS year is the same!

Today was a BUSY day! Connor got his braces off and got his retainers! YAY!!! and I spent sometime at the Verizon store...again. This Droid started missing calls last night and text messages take FOREVER to get! Well, 10 mins, but in text message time, that IS forever!! Soooo, they have ordered me ANOTHER "Warrenty Replacement" Droid. I expressed my dislike for another used phone. I mean, I bought a new one in September and within 24 hours I took it back, BUT I "think" they sent me a Warrenty Replacement phone, even then, not another NEW one...I can't be sure though. They can look it up...if that's the case, I paid full price for a new Droid and only had it for 24 hours? hhhmm..... I am going to talk to the manager when I go in tomorrow to get this switched over. Just very frustrated.

Another busy day tomorrow. Steve has a Dr appt in the morning and we are going to try a new restaurant while we are downtown....Pies and Pints. A pizza place that is always packed, but everyone raves about! Then Connor has lifting and Colton has his band banquet and spring concert! oh, and Colton gets a haircut after school too. Oy!!

I am off to bed to catch some ZZZZZZZZZZZZs!!!! I'm going to need alllll the rest I can get!

Double Dippin' Snoozin' Dreamer....
Michele :cloud9:

Hurray for Connor with no braces!:yay:
Boo for your phone problems again!:headache::mad:

Got my WDW and cruise documents in the mail yesterday afternoon so it is now official.. they will let us board the ship. :rotfl:

We leave in 10 days and I still have plenty to do. I am my daughter's Daisy Girl Scout troop leader and our last meeting of the year is on Thursday so I am trying to finish the planning for that and now we are organizing a drive for supplies to help those impacted by the devastating Joplin tornado. Thankfully our friends and family are safe but there are so many who have lost so much. I would urge any of you that would like to help to make a donation to the Red Cross or the charity of your choice because so much help is needed.

I must share my proud mom moment that Sean just got his grades for this semester in college (his 3rd year).
He just made Dean's list!:cool1::yay:
He received all A- 's in the four courses he was taking. And they were all hard.
Sean is a computer engineering major:goodvibes

:woohoo:

Congrats! Not an easy task at all!

My kids go to a K-12 school. Today my oldest goes through her promotion ceremony from 5th grade (grammar) to 6th grade (middle). Today is the last day she wears her Official Grammar School Uniform, man that was fast!

Michele - That stinks about your Droid. Hopefully they get it fixed - for good! - this time around. I'd be beyond livid if you only had a truly "new" phone for 24 hours. Of course, with as many problems as your having they probably have to ton of "warranty replacement/rebuilt" phones sitting around they need to get rid of..

Steven - Hope your daughter is feeling better.

Rose - Congrats to Sean! That is amazing!

Rowan's last week of school is next week. She's got End of the Year Fever so bad right now. Poor thing. Not looking forward to this time next your if this is a preview of how bad her Senioritis will be.

Ansley had a fever of 104.7 on Saturday night....shaking/tembling and all...but they said don't bring her to the ER unless it's 105. It was an ear infection. She's on amoxicillin (which is white now, was pink when i was a kid) and she's better. We're trying to catch up on sleep.

My DD was sick last week, too. She has asthma and always gets sick when the weather changes. It has been hot here, then we got a couple days of cool weather, then went back to hot & humid. This always makes her asthma worse. But it wasn't an infection, just viral.

Gosh, Tammy, how do you live in LA? Aren't there all sorts of creepy crawlies?
That is one reason I don't want to ever move down south, even though I love visiting.
#1. Way too many bugs and they're bigger than they are in the North:eek:

#2. Big Hair! The humidity down there makes my hair triple in size:scared1:

#1. Very true. The palmetto bugs are already out and those things are annoying!!!!! and scary!!!:scared1: My dog even runs from them!!:lmao:

#2. Very true again, esp when it gets hot and humid like it is now. There's not much help for my hair right now. :sad2:

I am ONE pound away from having lost 30 lbs!! Gotta work on that this week.

That's fantastic! Congratulations!!

And I'm jealous of all of you that get big hair in humidity. Mine goes flat, limp, lifeless. It's bad. I'm absolutly hating the weather this week because of that. Well, that and having to run to the post office yesterday for work and getting caught in torrential downpour and hail. Of course I suppose I could look at this humidity as prep for the cruise ;)

It has been a humid rainy TX week! I'm flying back up to PA tonight, I hope the rain holds off around 5pm. Found some nice shirts for the guys for the cruise, and I just made my sister take me to Home Depot to see what all the fuss is about the Mickey head paint chips. They are cute! Future magnet material.

Congrats to all the graduates and Go You to all the dieters!

This Thursday, the serious packing begins. And final packaging of FE treats. And note to self, still must find the FE!

And one last laugh at myself, reading previous posts, I thought, wow, I didn't realize the bugs were a problem in L.A., I thought it was traffic. Then the light dawned, ok, LA as in New Orleans, LA. :rotfl:

I've lived in La. all of my life. I don't really have a problem with big hair, but I know some people here that do. As far as the size of the bugs, I don't have anything to compare them to, since I've never lived in the North, so I guess they are just normal size to me (although I really don't like ANY bugs).

Congrats on the weight loss!!:woohoo: I know how hard it is. I've been going down some and then right back up lately.

Has Rowan been looking at colleges already? Sean's high school did a Jr. class trip to check out some colleges.
