Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

DMMom - My daughter & I ate lunch at Waves shortly after it opened and we both loved it. Can't remember how the lunch and dinner menus differ though. We both had salads and they were HUGE! Everything was very tastey and fresh.

Going to make Le Cellier Cheese soup and pretzel rolls for dinner tonight. Maybe that will help.
Sounds delicious. I'm going to need to try that recipe. That is why we are going to Le Cellier.

Oh... I love the logo, but maybe with Double Dippin' Dreamers
or I also like...
Double the pleasure, Double the fun
Two stops at Castaway Cay are better than one!
(with the same picture)
I'm easy, so anything anyone else likes will be great!:goodvibes

I'm fine with the logo, but was wondering if you could add Minnie??

I will try to accommodate the suggestions, but can't guarantee anything. I will probably have a new one next weekend unless someone comes up with something better before then.

I saw the same thing about the gated concierge level. I will be really interested in reading the trip reports and comments to see how people handled that for FE.

Beth, I would be happy to co-coordinate with you for the FE. This is only our second Dis cruise, so I definitely was worried about coordinating myself. Many months ago, I downloaded deckplans and started adding mickey head icons to show where everyone is.

Here is my idea for the logo that I posted about a year ago. I want to clean it up if we decide to go with this. If not, my feelings will not be hurt. I'm also open to any suggestions, especially the logo. Michelle, you had several great ideas.

Very nice!:thumbsup2

Thank you so much Bairdbeth and DMMom! Bairdbeth, I sent you a PM with my info. The kids had such a blast participating in a FE a couple summer's ago. Making little gifts was a big part of our preplanning, and delivering them felt like a treasure hunt! Gotta start thinking of something good...:woohoo:

I have a request, if anyone is interested? I have a 13 y.o. DD, and I met a couple of other Mom's on the board who had similar age kiddos on a previous cruise. In the past, we had the kids 'meet' on the board and get to know each other before the cruise. Is there any interest in starting a teen/tween thread? I saw a couple other Meets with one specifically for their kids. What do you think? Not sure how to set this up, or if it is better to just have the Mom's meet and maybe let the kids email with supervision? :confused3 I will say that getting to know other teens made a huge difference and my DD loved having some friends to meet on Day 1.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
Squirrelgirl

I have a son who will be 17 on the cruise and is interested to see who else will be on the cruise! Having a teen/tween thread would be great!

Rebecca- Sorry you had to deal with red ants. Yuck! We had been warned prior to our first cruise that the whole area has lots of them, but people only mentioned the parking lots. I get the car cleaned and vaccummed before we go and we try to not eat messy or crumbly snacks on the way down. We make sure we take all food stuff out before we park. I wanted to stay at Country Inns and Suites, but DD was rather insistant we continue our "tradition". Hopefully we won't have to deal with red ants:eek: I look forward to seeing how you like Country Inns and how their shuttle works.
I will start a new thread for our tween and teen cruisers. Let them know to start posting there so they can meet each other before we cruise!:woohoo:

Could you please post a link in this thread when you do? Thanks:goodvibes Going to point it out to my daughter.

We are very interested in the FE I need to figure out how to PM.
I will also have to look on previous threads to get ideas for the little goodies since we haven't done it before. Like someone else said, sounds like kind of like a scanvenger hunt.
Also will give a reason to see other cabin areas!!!

Thanks for the link to the Aquaduck video. It looks like so much fun and much faster than it appeared on previous videos:thumbsup2

We actually got back to school today! My students were very sleepy. Guess they will need time to readjust to school again!

Good morning, everyone! I haven't read back too far, but I am trying to make an effort to read more of the thread....

Not sure if any of this was decided, but I love the name, Double Dippin' Dreamers! Very catchy! I think the logo is very cute, too! Great for door magnets!

Unfortunately, I don't think we will participate in the FE game this time around. My life will get super crazy busy right before we leave for Florida--graduation, retirement, moving. I just don't think I will have the time to put into making FE gifts. I will talk to my family and ask them what they want to do.

Well, my DH's resume is about all done and ready to go out! :scared1: This is an exciting time for us, but oh so scary! We have been a military family for such a long time that going out into the "real world" is a thought that is full of anxiety.

And my DD, Emily has decided on a college! We knew she would pick LSU, I guess, but she made it official after touring there over the holidays. She wants to major in Education. I am very proud.

Anyway, since I don't post very much (trying to change that), let me introduce our group. Our party consists of me, Paige, my DH Rob, DD18 Emily, Emily's, boyfriend Ryan, 19, my sons, Derek, 15, and Alex, 11.

Here is us in November .... minus Emily's boyfriend, Ryan..

We've made wonderful friends on the DIS, and some are cruising again with us--Rose, Janice, Angela, and their families...Here we are, martini tasting on the Magic:

I couldn't watch this morning, but watched the replay. It makes waiting even harder! Is it June yet?!!!!

Wasn't able to watch the Christening live, but I watched the replay of it. Gave me chills. I can't wait until June!!!!

I don't think I'll participate in the FE exchange (don't believe I'll have time beforehand), but I really do want to participate in the Dis meet. So whenever it is decided when and where, please let me know!

Congratulations to Emily!:thumbsup2:cool1:

...watching the christening...popcorn::

I downloaded to my mp3 to watch while I'm working;)

Gee, I barely have time to be on my home computer anymore, been working 10 hour days and 6 days a week. Paying for my vacations!

I loved watching that video.

Oh, my, now I'm scared a bit.
I love water slides, but this is all enclosed and I'm hoping the height and width are enough that I don't feel like I'm in the MRI that I freaked out in a couple of years ago:eek:
I'm going to try it anyway.
