Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

That would be great, because my BF and I would really like a bit of alone adult time while my DS is off doing something else and not tagging us all the time.
Not that he ever has before, but this time he says he wants to do the adult stuff.

Oh, he just wants to try a green pearl w/Mark & Bob. & now Rob too.

We will not be sailing with you after all. My brother is expecting his 1st baby that week, so obviously we all want to be around to celebrate! I am most disappointed I won't get to sail with Marci J. Gonna miss you!

I must have missed this post - - what a bummer about the cruise, but what an awesome reason to have to miss a cruise! :goodvibes

I know I've been MIA quite a bit, but I've been sooooooo busy at work that I just don't know whether I'm coming or going these days (although I can't complain too much because my overtime helps fund the upcoming holiday season - LOL). We have also been gearing up for our December Disney trip - - making autograph pages, shopping, etc., which is very cool. Other than being very busy, though, we are well. Hopefully once work settles down, I will be able to post some more. Take care everyone! :goodvibes :grouphug:

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!!

I have thought about calling to see if we could switch our show time, BUT we are traveling with the large group....I think we are up to 21? although, friends or ours are on the waitlist for a cabin! It would be too much to get everyone switched! It's one thing to squeeze in a family of 4 and another to make room for 20! We'll figure it out! There are no ports where I would feel I would have to be off the ship a 5pm anyway....Castaway Cay all aboard is at 4 those 2 days, the sea day won't matter and then the Nassau day, we'll probably be on ship anyway. We'll just throw on some shorts and see the show...then maybe back into our suits for a pre-dinner dip in the pool/hottub before showering and dressing! Well, then there is the photo ops too....already my time on the ship is going too fast and we aren't even there yet! 227 days and counting!

Seems odd...today is Thursday and no football! Steve has been off every Thursday for Connor's games and he is getting ready to go to work. I'll miss him today! Tonight is Trick or Treat for our community. I'll have to have dinner ready early and hope that Connor's coach let's out practice a little early tonight so that even if the boys aren't going out, the parents can be home to hand out candy!

Did you all see the video of the Thunderbirds flying over the Magic Kingdom? SO VERY COOL! I would have LOVED to have been there!!

Well, time to get moving!!! A few more loads of wash, a roast to put in the oven and some chores that need to be done!!!

Make it an awesome day!!

Oh, he just wants to try a green pearl w/Mark & Bob. & now Rob too.

So close, but 2 months before his 21st birthday.
Any other cruise line, I believe lets kids drink over the age of 18 in international waters with parents permission.
Not Disney.
Which is probably just as well.... the chocolate smoothie bill alone will be expensive:rotfl: (as you well know with 2 of those kiddos..... didn't Sean start that chocolate smoothie trend with Bryce and Mackenzie?)

Oh, yes, I do believe that Sean introduced my kids to the chocolate smoothies. ;) Sorry I keep missing you Rose.

Good Sunday Morning Fellow Cruisers!!

After spending a few hours watching videos of the Dream float out and figuring out just which verandah is ours, I went to bed early. this gave me plenty of time to dream about DCL and WDW! LOL I don't remember the ship exactly, but I remember leaving and driving to WDW, then sitting outside of PotC and waiting on the boys, in the rain. (Why I was waiting, I don't know. I would ride!) It was all wierd, but here we are 224 days out and the dreams have started!

What a weekend....Thursday night was our ToT. had 78 kids, which is normal for us. All but 1 came the first hour, then it went dead! Friday night was high school football. We blew the other team away....58-0. Steve and I worked the concession, which was nice since it was the coldest night we've had. We actually had a killing freeze. Saturday was a HUGE day. Got up early to pack the truck so we could start tailgating at the middle school by 930. Championship Game started at 1 against our backyard nemisis. At the start of the 3rd quarter it was Them 19, Us 0. But at the end of the game, it was them 26, us 22. That last half of the game had us on our feet, screaming, cheering, yelling at the refs! LOL It was getting ugly. I feel SO bad for the boys. They really poured it on that last half, but just didn't come through. Partly it was our not blocking for our offence and partly because thier defence came to take over. I am still SO VERY PROUD of all the boys!!! and I am humbled that they chose me to be one of the team moms this year. It was a great experience. Today, since we had the freeze, is going to be a day of cleaning up the yard. Tossing annuals and cutting grass for the last time. Maybe even putting the furniture in the garage...we'll see. I know in 2 weeks Steve has a few days off, so that's when we'll do the Christmas lights....while it's still sort of warm out! Just won't turn them on till Thanksgiving. Next weekend we are heading to Hershey, PA for the band competition! Got to get that stuff together! Friday night is football, then we plan on leaving at 6am to get to Hershey by Noon to do the factory tours and such. I know I'll get to sleep, some day!

Connor spent last night with some friends, so I need to go and get him and get started in the yard. I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy!!

Michelle: I watched it live on the MeyerWerft webcam, which updates every few seconds. Not as good as watching an actual video, but still exciting when we finally saw her coming out of the building! Then after that, I watched a few of the videos that people posted to YouTube. I especially loved the one where you can hear the horn "A dream is a wish your heart makes".:cloud9: Still gives me goosebumps when I think about it! I hope I have some dreams about the cruise because I am sooooo excited!

Hope all of my fellow cruisers are having a good weekend and hope to hear from a lot of you soon. We gotta keep posting to get to know each other better and, hopefully, make the time go by faster to when we can actually meet each other!

Tammy, we wanted to watch it live, but being as we were at the football field from 930-4, it wasn't happening! LOL and actually, with all the days excitement, we forgot about the float out, until we got home and got things put away. The videos are cool to watch. I like the new horn, but Connor and Steve don't like it. Colton hasn't heard it yet.

We just canceled this cruise and re-booked on the fantasy as we really wanted a 7 night cruise. Hope you all have a great time and great weather.

Happy Halloween!!
We had ToTing last night. It was for once a perfect night. The kids got plenty of candy and the weather cooperated. No fighting about needing coats over the costumes.
Tonight makes me happy and nostalgic. Exactly 1 year ago, we boarded the Magic to celebrate Halloween Disney style. It makes me happy thinking about all the fun we had and I'm getting more excited as the cruise gets closer.
My parents and grandma came this weekend to visit and to celebrate my grandma's 87th birthday. It has been fun.

Happy Hallowen! And Happy 87th Birthday to your grandmother! It's so nice when you can spend special times with family.:grouphug:

My DD and I are getting more and more excited about our cruise, especially yesterday when we watched the Dream float out and then watched videos and heard the horn! Can't wait!!:yay:

Hello Fellow Cruisers!!

To wdwluvrs, I fully understand changing this cruise!! enjoy the 7 nights!!!

Well, a few weeks ago, I put my name and Steve's name in for a contest at a waterpark in Columbus, Oh...fortrapids.com. (we stayed there one weekend in August before school started) Steve got an email that he WON! LOL It's Nov 13th. an over night stay, tickets for the waterpark, breakfast, an appetizer for Sunday football AND tickets for the Ohio State vs Penn State football game that Saturday!!!! The dilema is...it's for TWO people!!!! I think what I will do is send Steve and Connor, and Colton and I will stay home. Partly because it would be an added expense for all of us to go, partly because we'd need to find a sitter/kennel the dogs, and partly because we might have a High School play off game that day, and Colton would need to be here for the band. (I guess our rules for play off games are...the higher ranked gets home field advantage, but the away team chooses the day, Friday or Saturday, and the time. This way if they have to travel hours to get there, they can pick Saturday) As much as I LOVE Columbus...shopping, eating, shopping....LOL....with football, band, and all this traveling we've been doing, money is tight...so this is the most economical way to do it. The other option would be to see if Steve's aunt would come stay with the boys and Steve and I could go..but Connor has done nothing but talk about the OSU football team...even mentioning the players by name and position! more than I know! But it would nice to get away!!

Ok...that's our excitement for the day! Besides turning in Connor's football equipment, which was bitter sweet.....I am sad to see football end, but happy to get a bit of a break!

Congrats to them for winning that contest!
Sorry you can't all go though. But it will be nice father/son time.
I hope Colton won't be too jealous.
