Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

We got ours in the mail also, but we already knew. We have the 6pm dinner and 9 pm showtime. This is perfect for us. We are used to eating earlier and it gives time between to stroll the ship.

We are me, my DS21, DS18, my son's girlfriend 20. We are so excited!!! Still too long to wait but love to watch the ticker!!!

We are 6:15 dinner, 9pm show. DH was disappointed when I opened the mail. He thought maybe we got an upgrade.

Congrats to those who just got jobs. I'm crossing my fingers that some of the DISers luck will rub off and DH will get a job. He has only been off work for 3 months, but any amount of time is stressful.

Tonight is family movie night. Not sure yet what we are watching. Doesn't matter, because I just enjoy the family nights.

Going to bed early tonight. Eagles concert tomorrow night. :hippie:

Hello Fellow Cruisers!!

Another busy weekend behind us! On Thursday night, Connor's football team won, so this coming Saturday they will play the Championship Game! It's against our "backyard" rival and we did beat them during conference play, but keep your fingers crossed!! The Band took first place in their division, 5th overall, on Saturday, so we will be traveling to Hershey, PA the first weekend in November for nationals. My cousin got married this weekend, so we were in Cleveland, OH for that. We also got to see several of Steve's friends from High School on Friday night as we all met for the football game. It was so wonderful to get to see so many of my family this weekend! From sea to shining sea they came to gather for a wonderful celebration of love!

We too got the official letter from Disney stating our show and dining times. We got the dreaded 5pm show and 830 dinner. We want that dinner time, but would have preferred a later show time. I guess we just won't dress for the show!

Can't wait to watch the Dream sail out! Wonder what time that will be?? Any ideas??

Off to pick out coaches gifts! Make it a great day!

I heard there was going to be a college age group meet. How do get in on that?

When we were on the Wonder 2+ years ago, there was a meet & greet set up for the college kids either on the first (departure) or second day. They decided from there what activities they would do. There was nothing official set up after that first day. My oldest son was between high school and college age and went to a couple of the get-togethers.

Yes DCL will do something for the 18-20 age group on the Dream.
Our youngest son wil be 19 so we are also concern that he has a great time.
Last time I called DCL, they told me that they have a whole area dedicated for the 18-20 group, but they havent named it yet LOL!

Congrats to the football team and the band!!!:cheer2:
I guess we got lucky and got the 7pm show with the 8:30pm dinner.
The posted time for the Dream float out is 5pm Germany time. I "think" that is 10am Central Time. Not sure whether or not it will be broadcast live. Hopefully they will at least post pictures or a video after the fact on the MW website.:cloud9:
Hope everyone has a great day!!

Ours came in the mail yesterday -- 7:00 show with 8:30 dining. I love to get DCL mail. It makes the cruise seem that much closer.
I got mine in the mail yesterday too, only mine was damaged by the U.S.Postal Service equipment and a whole section was torn off: and when I opened it up, the section that was torn off was the part that gave me my dining and show times! Fortunately, I already knew my times because I had previously contacted my travel agent. But I contacted her again to make sure that nothing had changed. I have 8:30pm dining and 7pm show.

Happy Friday Everyone!!:yay:

I've got the same:cool1: 7pm show, 8:30 dining!
As well as my friends, just by coincedence! We all got the same times!:woohoo::grouphug:

Hi everyone. I haven't checked in in a while--super busy these days. We received our dining/show assignments yesterday, too. 7:00 and 8:30...woo hoo!

Since it has been so long since I first posted, I'll re-introduce my crew. I am Paige, and I'll be cruising with my DH Rob,who is retiring from the Marine Corps right before our cruise, our DD18 Emily, who is graduating right before the cruise, her DBF19 Ryan, our DS15 Derek, and our DS11 Alex. (Ages are at cruise time.)

We've cruised with Disney a few times before and we are hooked for sure!

We are thrilled to be cruising on the Dream, and I will make a better effort to post here a little more, so that I can get to know you all a little better.

Woo HOO!:yay: There's one of my old cruising buddies :wave:Hiya Paige!
Cool how we all got the same time!

Hi Paige. Good to hear from you again. Dizneycrazy4 is right: alot of us have the 7pm show time and 8:30 dinner. Maybe we'll be sitting near each other. I'm sure there are also a lot of others on our meet thread that have the same times. I know that I was happy to get those particular times. Getting more and more excited with each day that passes by.

We'll get to see you lots!

Hi, all! I have been reading the boards, but haven't posted much. We got our info in the mail, too....6PM dining and 9PM show. I am happy with that! We will be traveling with: myself, my husband, our 21 year old daughter, her 23 year old boyfriend, and our 10 year old son. Also, there has been mention made that our daughter's boyfriend may propose while we are on the cruise! It is too soon to know yet and I am sure he will talk to us if he decides to do this, but it may be a very, very special cruise for our daughter! :lovestruc He is a wonderful young man and if this is what he decides to do, he will have our blessing. Right now, we have two inside GTY cabins booked, but I am hoping for an upgrade! My husband doesn't want an upgrade, though, unless it is to a verandah.......he wants the magic porthole! :lmao: He is such a kid at heart. I will try to post more and am so excited to meet everyone and see the Dream!

Awesome! How romantic!:love::cloud9:

That would be great, because my BF and I would really like a bit of alone adult time while my DS is off doing something else and not tagging us all the time.
Not that he ever has before, but this time he says he wants to do the adult stuff.

Ok, I'll try and keep up here more.

Hi to everyone, best wishes for a great week to everyone and sad that we've lost a family already, but in a good way for them.:goodvibes

Are you booked with an agent or Disney? If you really want the later showtime I would recommend calling/emailing ASAP and ask...those were the times we were scheduled and got switched to the desired showtimes with a quick email to our agent (well my sister's agent, mine was on vacation but same agency) so it's worth a shot...worst thing that can happen is they'll wait list you

Is everyone supposed to get their show and dinning times at the same time? We are booked on this cruise too and haven't received anything yet. Starting to get a little jealous.
