Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

did you see the bow of the ship today!!
She's all one ship now! or at least she looks like all one ship now, I can't post the link yet, need 2 more posts!!:confused3

I saw the pictures. Doesn't she look wonderful? Can't wait to be onboard. I just love looking at pictures of the Dream to see the progress. We are so excited about the cruise. This will be our second Disney Cruise.

My daughter and I just returned from a week at WDW on Sunday. We had such a great time.

Now that my countdown to my WDW trip is over, I can now concentrate on the Cruise countdown.

she looks GREAT! i'm so excited!
i've decided not to put a count down ticker on here so i can browse without the kids seeing the ticker and finding out before I tell them! lol I can't wait to see what the inside actually looks like! the artist drawings are great but the real thing will be awesome!

Steven, your daughter is just beautiful! I had only gotten to page 18 earlier and then jumped to the end so I could post, and it's just so neat to see her now!

Hey everyone. Long time, no post. Our cruise is almost at the the one year away mark! We're getting ready for our WDW trip this week. We're going to Wilderness Lodge next week. Exciting. Here's Ansley at 6 month's. For those who just joined, I posted her picture at post #137 just after she was born. So cool to have a kid.

She's just a beauty! And, as to how cool it is to have a kid, it only gets better (if you can believe it).

Hi Everyone!!:yay:
I booked back in october/nov when ever it was that sailing dates were released, but just joined the DIS boards!! I'm so excited that there is a whole thread just for our cruise! Everytime I see new pictures it just makes it that much harder to wait! :rotfl:
This will be our 2nd cruise together! My dh, me and our 4 kids, ds 13, ds 12, and both girls are 10! The kids have no idea!! that's the best part!!:cool1: I'm not going to tell them until christmas and then i'm going to intergrate it into present clues!

I'm still catching up on all the posts, but i'm excited about the FE's too! already thinking of girl scout swap ideas that can be turned into FE's! lol
Oh and we live in the Dallas area and our room numbers are 7191 and 7188!

Welcome to the DIS and to our cruise group! I will get you added to the first page. :goodvibes

Hi all! Taylor finished up school on 5/21 so I now officially have a high schooler (and the marching band payments to go along with that!) I finished up on Tuesday with all the last minute paperwork and special ed transportation requests so that all my students can start back on 8/12. Tay and I head to Orlando on Friday. We will be staying at a condo in Windsor Hills for a week, or at least i will. Taylor goes to Sea World residential carreer camp from Monday through Saturday. Once I pick her up we head to the Poly for 3 nights as we got a 40% discount. We hope to do Star Wars weekend and see the summer nightastic special things. So can't wait to get back to the World!

We leave Friday also. 2 weeks at WDW. We are soo excited. :cool1:

You guys both have a great time at the World:yay:

Welcome Pixie!:goodvibes

Steven, she is just adorable. They are so much fun at that age.

For everyone going to WDW this summer, say Hi to Mickey for me.

Summer break is officially starting tomorrow for the kids. I miss the summer's off. They will be busy with lots of fun activities and plenty of time at the pool.

Happy Summer!

lol...my wife is a girl scout troop leader too and when they were making their swaps for camp this year I told her we need to decide on our FE gifts so that we can have the troop make them for us next year that way they'll have a craft every meeting

Thanks so much Pixie Tl for the link!!! So excited - I almost shed a tear - sappy me when it comes to Mickey! ::MickeyMo

My sister was thinking of joining us, as she did on our last Disney cruise (LOTS of fun!). They like inside staterooms, so I went online and they are all sold out right now. The ONLY staterooms left for our cruise are Staterooms w/verandahs 4A-5D. I called and they confirmed that was correct, unless something changes, but they said it was unlikely "but you never know", of course. I hope that doesn't stop them from joining in on all the fun!

But I did order a Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker yesterday! Can't wait for it to get here! Konk Coolers, Pina Coladas, Daquiris, smoothies, slushies and milkshakes! YUM!!!!!!

Michele

I love my Margaritaville machine! It's perfect for summertime on the deck here in Texas, so I am sure you will also enjoy it on your new patio in WV.

Random tip for using the machine ... for some reason, bagged ice from the store seems to make even smoother drinks than ice from my ice maker. This tip was passed on to me from another friend who has had her machine for several years. I don't know why -- maybe it has something to do with the shape of the cubes (?) Anyway, if you don't get the results you are hoping for when you first use it, you might want to try that tip. It also works best if you let the ice sit out for about 10 minutes before starting the machine. (Although I think that tip is actually in the instruction manual.)

Enjoy!

Yup - - we've had ours going on a year now and it really makes amazing drinks (restaurant quality). I scoffed when DH brought it home, but it was worth every penny. :goodvibes

Hey everyone - Sad to say we have had to switch cruises to later in June so that other family members could join us as they couldn't do 6/12. I hope you all have a fantastic cruise!!! pixiedust: Perhaps we will meet up on another Disney cruise :boat:

Hi Everyone! :wave2:
My family and friends have been booked since day 1 and I can't believe I'm just now joining this cruise meet thread. :upsidedow We just returned from a trip to WDW, US, and IOA and I'm having HUGE withdrawls, so it's time to start thinking about next summer's vacation. ;) :cool1: :thumbsup2

My family is in 2 cabins: DS17, DD17, and DS15 will be with my husband and me. Then I have friends in two other cabins. One cabin has 2 adults, DS15, and DS12. The other cabin will have 2 adults, DD16, and DS15.

All 3 of our families went on the 5 night Double Dip cruise on the Magic in September '08 and we can't wait to go on another Double Dip on the Disney Dream!!! pirate:

Looking forward to getting to know my fellow cruisers. :grouphug: :flower3:

Awwwww, so sorry to hear that, but I totally understand why you would want to change. I'm sure your cruise is going to be quite incredible too. :goodvibes

Darn, you both live too far away for me to pop over to have a drink:mad:
