Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Hello fellow cruisers!!

Sorry I haven't been around much! It's the end of the school year hustle! Everything is wrapping up with end of year concerts and banquets and such! I finished work for the summer this past Thursday. Now I can focus on my family. I am looking forward to being a stay at home mom again...even if it's just for the summer! Throw into the mix...we have our yard all dug up! We are having a contractor add on a 15x33 patio and a driveway just about as long! LOL And we leave for vacation in 2 weeks! Yikes! Starting to gather things on the dining room table of stuff I'd like to take. We are renting a condo, so although it has most things, somethings we tend to run out of...like kitchen soap and paper towels and garbage bags.

Welcome to the new cruisers! I am excited to get to meet everyone!

I think I might have to find me a countdown ticker now! It's getting closer!!!

Wow! No countdown ticker yet?! Get right on that.
Hey, the DIS is making tickers now also:

Hurray for being done with school:woohoo:
And also for your upcoming vacation:cool1:

I know how you feel, just got graduation over with at work this past Sunday, so now its on the summer break. In looking at the calendar of what everyone in the house has going on. It will be busier this summer than during the school year. Good news though, not near the pressure or stress.
Not doing much for vacation this year, trip to the BSA Jamboree to visit DS, end of July. Then trip to the beach.
Saving up for our trip next year, 5 night cruise, probably 5 nights WDW for DS graduation from high school.

Does anyone know with the 5 night cruise if there will be a semi or a formal night? We dressed up each night on our 4 nighter last year and really enjoyed that. We also dressed for Palo, but I wasn't sure if this cruise will request the attire. Thanks for any input.:beach:

I'm sure there probably will be, just because on the 3 and 4 nights on the Wonder there are formal nights. But, we'll have to wait and see for sure!! :goodvibes

Thanks Crystal. I'm so excited about the cruise that today I fired up my cricut and made some things for our cabin door....:cloud9::woohoo:

:confused3
I'll bet so too. Last cruise I just brought a few semi formal dresses for both semi and formal night, thought I'd save a bit of room in my luggage, because I so overpack:rolleyes1
At least I won't need to pack as much for this cruise:goodvibes

Hope everyone has a fun Memorial Day weekend.
BBQs, playing in the sprinklers, and a movie or 2 for us.
Only one more week of school for the kids. They would have been done if we hadn't had 5 snow days.
Things are winding down here. Dance is done, DS's bday over, volleyball done. Only 2 more weeks of softball and baseball.
Only trip this summer is to see family. Will be fun, but no Disney.

That is awesome - I sooooo want one of those but I have the Wishblade so its very difficult to justify another crafting machine. Did you see that they now have a Cricut for cake decorating? You use frosting sheets to cut out shapes. It looks pretty freakin' amazing, but at $400, it better be, I guess. :rotfl:

Yeah, we're winding down too. DD will be out of school on Friday. She's in Kindergarten, though, so I don't quite think she grasps what the ending of school really means. She had her little graduation and picnic this past Thursday which was very sweet. It is amazing how much she is growing up, though. :sad1:

My husband bought the cricut expressions for me at Christmas for $188.00 thru Wal-mart website. I love it!!! They have a Mickey cartridge and matching font. And yes, I saw a demo of the new cake cricut on tv. Wowie-wow-wow. For now, I will stick with card stock.

Hi all! Taylor finished up school on 5/21 so I now officially have a high schooler (and the marching band payments to go along with that!) I finished up on Tuesday with all the last minute paperwork and special ed transportation requests so that all my students can start back on 8/12. Tay and I head to Orlando on Friday. We will be staying at a condo in Windsor Hills for a week, or at least i will. Taylor goes to Sea World residential carreer camp from Monday through Saturday. Once I pick her up we head to the Poly for 3 nights as we got a 40% discount. We hope to do Star Wars weekend and see the summer nightastic special things. So can't wait to get back to the World!

We leave Friday also. 2 weeks at WDW. We are soo excited. :cool1:

Here's to wishing everyone a happy Memorial Day!
Yes with the BBQ, got to get the smoker going soon for the ribs.
Kids jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler under it, I see that coming this afternoon.
Cold adult beverages and hanging with friends, doesn't get any better, does it??
I guess it could if we were cruising right now, will have to wait until next year for that. Kids still have 10 more days of school, thanks to snow make up days. Everyone is busy all summer with camps, DS 17 going to BSA National Jamboree this summer as well, so we will take a couple of days to visit, then heading to the beach with out him. He's not real happy about that, he will get over it as he will be having his own great time.
Got to go dry rub the ribs now.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!!!

Been busy getting the patio to just the way we want it. Had my kitchen sink to clog up on me and I could not get it free. Had to call in a plumber. Been just crazy busy and it's not going to stop! Once we get back from vacation, then it's 2 weeks of football camp, Fourth of July, my 25 year High School reunion, Band camp starts July 15thish, then football starts again August 1, School starts August 22ndish and all the football games and band competitions to go with that! I am REALLLLLLY thinking of not even going back to work in the fall. I just don't know how Mom's that work full time do it. I give you props!!! I am simply working to pay off credit card debt. We are 10 payments from being debt free. Come the end of football season, we'll only have 4 more payments....if we can get by, I'd rather be here for the boys.

ANYWAY, it's hot, it's humid, it's very much Florida weather here in WV!! Only wish I had a pool beside my patio!! LOL OH! But I did order a Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker yesterday! Can't wait for it to get here! Konk Coolers, Pina Coladas, Daquiris, smoothies, slushies and milkshakes! YUM!!!!!!

Enjoy the day and Be safe! If you are a veteran....Thank You!!

Michele

Here's Ansley at 6 month's. For those who just joined, I posted her picture at post #137 just after she was born. So cool to have a kid.
