Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

Ashman - you have inspired me to get back on my diet. 3 months to get in shape. Congrats!! Keep up the good work.

Thank you! I have struggled with weight since I was 9. Putting it out there has helped keep me on track. The big AHA moment I had recently was knowing what to do is easy it, doing it is the hard part.

WE INTERRUPT THIS POST FOR THE FOLLOWING ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are now at the 100 day mark! WOO HOO! Tomorrow, double digits!
:yay::dance3::cheer2::banana::banana::cool1::dance3::yay::wizard:

I would love to have 100 dancing bananas, but since it won't allow that many smilies ... just imagine these ten squared. (Sorry, math teacher here.)

Happy Friday Fellow Cruisers!!

Joining in the 100 day dance, too!!!:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

And like Ashman said, tomorrow, double digits!!!:cool1:

I've been working on convincing my daughter (she's a very timid 5 years old), that the shallow-water dolphin encounter in Nassau would be fun. So far she's not believing me. Anyone done it before and have advice or stories?

We've done both types of dolphin encounters at Atlantis. I don't know where you are doing yours, but they are great there with children. They break people up in to small groups with one dolphin. My boys were a little bit older the first time we did one, but were that age with the sting rays on CC. I think if it's a small group and only one dolphin it would be fine because she could hug your side if needed. They have the dolphin do silly things so that might draw her out as well. And dolphins usually aren't like sting rays where they brush your legs. The dolphin will swim down the row of people but the times we've done it they never bumped in to us. We had to reach out to touch them. Good luck!

Hello Fellow Cruisers! Hope everyone is having a good week.

I took my daughter Rachel out to dinner last night to celebrate her birthday with my brother and sisters. This was a postponement from her actual birthday (2/16) since we had to cancel previously because she was sick. We had a really nice time.

I also went to her school yesterday for the Special Olympics. Her school, Fontainebleau High School, was host for the Track & Field Division of the Special Olympics and also was awarded "School of the Year" by the Louisiana Special Olympics. It was a fun day. The kids had a blast.

Counting down the days 'til the cruise!!!

Nice! Glad you all had a good time.:goodvibes
Happy belated birthday to your daughter.

Thanks so much for the information. Would they let me pick her up if needed or does she need to stay standing on her own next to me? I know she wouldn't be able to handle the sting rays (they even freaked me out a bit when we did them). But if she can control whether she touches them or not that may be okay.

Yipee douple digits:woohoo:

My daughter (will be 13 on the cruise) is interested in meeting some "friends" before we leave. Anyone have a daughter or son close to her age that will be going to the Edge that would maybe like to exchange email addresses so they could work at getting to know each other before we leave?

PM if interested. In the meantime I need to get both girls setup with Disboard sign on's so they can post on the teen thread here.,

I am here reading the boards this am (as usual) as I work up the courage to take my other daughter out driving, I am so not ready for her to be old enough to drive......

Yes -- I saw other people holding kids at Atlantis in the encounter. Is that where you are thinking of going?

Hey guys, don't look now BUT WE ARE IN DOUBLE DIGITS!

I love the scripture in your signature. When having a bad day it's my go-to for strength.

I guess Disney doesn't count today or the day of sailing. When I pulled up the reservation, I got this:
"My Reservation
Only 98 days until your cruise sets sail!" :lmao:

It's ok. We are going to WDW before the cruise, so I will already be immersed in the Disney experience well before 98 days from now.

Another busy kid weekend. Gymnastics and then kids play "James and the Giant Peach."

Just sent the e-mail to my TA to pay off the cruise. We leave for our trip in 90 days. Starting to feel pretty close.

Here is what we are using for our pocket logo (just bigger and clearer). I made one for each of us with our names. You are welcome to copy it. If you need help, you can PM me and I will personalize one of these for anyone.

Hi Everyone!! seems like i've been a bit busy lately!! :rotfl: there is like 20 pages for me to get caught up on! :surfweb:
I just got back yesterday from being one of 23 brave chaperons of the 5th grade 2 night 3 day camping trip to Pine Cove Camp! and goodness i'm still tired! :lmao:
The kids had a great time, learned a lot, lots of great hands on activities mixed in with good ole camp activities like horse back rinding, canoeing, camp fire and they even had a zip line! And they had a Lemur!! I think lemurs have become my favorite animal! he was soo cute and fluffy!!
We had our first volleyball game of this season last night, and i had my first experience coaching, we lost, but the girls played really great! Just need to work some kinks out of the new girls and oh not go to camp right before a game too!!
Can you believe we only have 3 more months and 1 week left!! :jumping2: every day that it's warmer outside just bring us closer to summer and Cruise!!
I hope everyone is doing great and have a great week!!
:yay:

Teresa, I love the pocket logos you made! Do you think you could make them with our names on them? Steve Michele Colton Connor? I am completely computer illiterate.....or I just don't have the right program? I can just never get it to work right. I would be very thankful!!!! I think I might print them off on magnets for the doors too! I will also print off the large one and make shirts for the family!! Thanks for everything!

Congrats to all that have lost weight!! I think I have found it! ...and that's not a good thing! Oh well...Once this weather breaks, maybe I'll start taking my dogs for a walk again...we could all use it! Today was a day of rain, tomorrow 2" of snow! YUCK! I did see flowers coming up at my friends house! :yay:

Steve just walked in and we are off to Walmart! Everyone take care! I'll try to get over here more often!!!

Double Dippin Dreamer....

Weight loss check in. When I set goals this Christmas, I wanted to be under 215 by our cruise and under 200 by the of the year. At my heaviest, I was 253, at Christmas I was 238. Today, I weighed in at 214.2! I am so stoked! My new goal is 200 by the cruise. That is a BHAG but that is what I am gunning for!

Great job!!!:jumping1: that's a lot of hard work!!
