Wave Phones Now Available Onboard

Beginning on the Dec. 16, 2010, sailing of the Disney Wonder and the Dec. 28, 2010, sailing of the Disney Magic, families will have a great new way to stay in touch with one another. Portable Wave Phones will enable Guests to contact members of their party while onboard the ship or ashore at Disney’s Castaway Cay.

All staterooms will now offer two portable Wave Phones for complimentary use during the length of the cruise. Four phones are provided in the Royal Suite and 2-Bedroom Suite categories. Guests can rent an additional phone from Guest Services for $3.50 per day.

The Wave Phones replace the paging system previously used by Youth Activities. Parents with children participating in activities are now never more than a text message or phone call away.

All Guests are encouraged to utilize the Wave Phones for staying connected with their party while on the ship or at Disney’s Castaway Cay. However, Guests can opt out of using these phones and have the Wave Phone service disconnected in their staterooms.

If phones are lost, damaged or not returned to the stateroom prior to debarkation a $250 charge per phone will be applied to the Guest’s stateroom account. This charge will be mentioned on the payment authorization form that Guests complete during the check-in process.

I am pretty sure they will be on the Dream

Thanks for the update! Sounds great! Hopefully they will not be going off during the shows though!!!

Did anyone get a free upgrade from a Category 10, 11 or 12 to something better than a Category 10? And are you a Platinum CC Member?

Almost .. 9a to a 6a. We're not Gold but wish we were!!

Tomorrow in 1 months time we will be flying across the big pond to stay at OKW for 2 nights before the cruise. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the BBQ and on the cruise of course.:)

Weather sucks over here at the moment, the whole country comes to a standstill because of some snow, albeit quite alot in places!
Heathrow was shut for a couple of days and Gatwick suffered loads of delays ... that snow had better stay in Russia during Jan/Feb!!:worship:

Yes, we were upgraded from a 10A to an 8B and are silver. Would have liked to have the virtual porthole, but now it gives us an excuse to book another cruise.

I am starting to get worried about my docs. I see people here started getting them 3 days ago. A friend traveling with me that doesn't live too far away got hers 2 days ago. I have not got mine yet!

We don't have ours either, but figure they are caught up in the holiday rush at the post office :confused3

We'll keep watching and waiting :cutie:

Merry Christmas, everyone :littleangel:

I feel the same way!

I emailed Disney to be told mine hadnt been sent out for some reason but they will let me know on the 27th. A bit disappointing when the other family from New Zealand got theirs 3 days ago.

A very Merry Christmas to everyone...I'm sure there were alot of disney presents under the tree including cruise surprises. Hope it is a day filled with magical memories for all.

Got our docs yesterday - what a great Christmas present!

One month from now, will be basking in the Vero Beach sun (I hope!!!) and getting ready for the next day's cruise :cool1:

Blessed Christmas, everyone. See you SOON!:thumbsup2
