Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

Just a quick note before I finish the FE list. I am extending the deadline to join the list to 9pm (CST) on Dec. 5th. I was out of town due to a family emergency, and I have been unable to get to a computer for the past 4 days.

Are you staying at the Hyatt MCO the night before the cruise? If so then it has been my experience (we stayed there a few times before our cruises) that there is a separate DCL bus that leaves from the Hyatt (separate from the Disney bus for guests flying in that day). When you check in at the Hyatt mention that you are going on DCL and they will hand you an info letter of where/what time your luggage will be picked up the morning of the cruise. Then you head down to the lobby area and in one of the hotel meeting rooms there will DCL staff there to sign you up for the bus. You are then brought down as a group with the other Hyatt guests going on DCL to the bus which is at the front of the Hyatt (not at the place where the regular DCL bus picks up). We were at the port by 10:20.

I was flipping through the new Disney Files magazine (the DVC magazine) and came to the section where they show people reading the magazine in unusual places and thought - man, I have to remember to pack my magazine for the cruise. Then - when I mentioned that I wanted to get the magazine into my 'pack stack' (which HAS BEEN STARTED - WOOHOO!), my brother suggested that I see who all in this group is DVC and ask them to bring their magazines too. Then, at our DisMeet onboard, we can gather in front of something that is unique to the Dream and have our picture taken for submission to the magazine. Y'all interested?

We haven't got the magazine as we only joined in Sept! Could we still be in the photo though please if someone has a spare copy?

On another note, do you know if DCL give you a lanyard on every cruise or just when you reach each milestone? For instance, in Aug I got a silver lanyard so should I bring it with me or will they give me another in January?

Booked our hotel and parking at London Gatwick today, another thing ticked off of the list. No packing done yet as have had a rough month or two and now need to get Christmas out of the way. After that I'm sure it'll be all systems go!
