Well, I am bummed that I was not able to get Remy or Palo brunch but I was able to snag a Palo dinner. There were more slots available than I was expecting. Hope everyone got what they wanted.

How? I was on multiple browsers refreshing every < 10 seconds ;-). Are you Gold or Platinum?

No sour grapes but ... I don't really want to go on the first cruise if I can't experience the entire ship. I'd rather wait and do the Dream later on, when it's not impossible to eat everywhere.

I know the "maiden voyage" is non-refundable -- are we allowed to move the reservation to another date? PiTA because I'd have to move flights, etc., but wondering ... thanks!

No brunch. Could have gotten dinner but my travel mates & I decided that we wanted to do all 4 meals in the regular restaurants to try them all out (with shows, etc). Really hoping I can get a brunch on board.

I saw brunch available for groups of 5,6,7,8 but I couldn't get it for just the two of us. Same with dinner. No high tea reservations available though.

Hi folks....debated on doing the midnight dance and decided not to do so. I was awake for 3 hours for the P/C cruise and with all the good postings on this thread I thought of --- 1) experience the ship without any special treatements or 2) get up at midnight after just returning from Food and Wine and get frustrated.

I opted to enjoy the ship. After all there are 16 bars, and I am sure some of them offer munchies, so be it what it will, we will just need to rebook for a less popular cruise event

Just checked right now and there are no sittings available for either Palo or Remy. Still some spa treatments on line. Did not even check shore excursions.

Enjoy your day, I'll have to catch up on what I missed later.

I got in at 12:01 and it informed me that there were no reservations available....DCL should do a better job and release a certain number of reservations to each Platimum, Gold, Silver and first time cruisers. I will certainly be letting DCL know how displeased I am.

Even if they did not hold back any ressies, they could post a note that for this cruise, none will be available..... so those of us who do not have a Ranger game to watch could know.....

Sorry....but even some of us Platinums did not get anything.....no Palo or Remy so it is not just Gold and Silver who were shut out.

It is really not unfair, just the luck of the draw and the way the loyalty program is set up. I have cruised 18 times with DCL to earn Platinum status and I still didn't get a ressie. I wasn't able to snag a ressie for the following cruise either. I just think there are so many more people on this ship that it is always going to be tougher to get a ressie at these restaurants.

I do think they should put an announcement up on the website that all resizes are taken already so people do not have to wait up needlessly to keep checking.

Wow! We could have filled that up immediately!

I know everyone wants Brunch. It's just not possible for everyone who wants it to get it with just one sea day. Brunch is always the first thing we try for.

That said, EVERYONE should have had an opportunity to snag a reservation. We are Platinum, but I do feel it is unfair for Disney to let everything go at once...

Disney should have allotted the same number of brunches for each category... Platinum, Gold, Silver and first time cruisers. Then, at each booking window, each category and above would have another chance to try for what they want.

Also, unless DCL is planning on giving us something special which is unique to the Inaugural cruise, they should not have charged such high prices for this sailing. There's just too much pressure placed on a first cruise.

I am also hoping that DCL has planned ahead and has reserved Disney Dream merchandise allocated for our sailing. With the TAs being able to sail before, and not after us, as well as the christening cruise, eBay will be flooded with stuff before we even get on board. I remember the Magic's Maiden Voyage. They opened the stores while we were at dinner. By the time we finished eating and went shopping, all of the special pins were gone. There was no limit per person. I am hopeful that DCL has learned from the past.

We will have our kick-off BBQ and our customed Lanyards!!! Believe me... that is something unbeatable!

That would not be a huge programming change, but it would sure make things more user friendly!

Here is the BBQ announcement, I have listed the folks that we have previously heard from, for those who have not talked to us lately, please confirm that you are still planning to attend. Some folks have offered to bring something, and I have listed that also. We realize that not everyone has the ability to go to a store in Orlando, and we are not depending on everyone to bring something, but if you want to, let me know and I will log it. The particular BBQ area will depend upon where our condo is when we check in, they are first come-first served, so that means we will go out and start setting up before the time of the party. I am hoping to miss the lunch crowd and get in before the dinner crowd - not that I have ever seen any crowds at those areas.

I spoke to a Cast member today and was told that Palo is completely booked for online reses. He did not think they were holding any reses for Gold or others because 'there are some very important people on this cruise and we have to take care of them first'. I was very disappointed by the response (perhaps it could have been worded in a different way...end result is the same though and I'm sure it is a true statement). I'm going to try anyway tonight (I'm gold) but I'm not optimistic even onboard. At least we have 3 'new' restaurants to experience.

Any speculation on who these "VIP's" are?
