Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

Just wondered if anyone heard what night the repeat restaurant would occur. We want to make sure we don't miss any of the three restaurants and book Palo for the repeat night. On the Magic it is the third night, but not sure about the Dream.

We are on main dining, so Jamie and I decided yesterday that we will do the restaurants each night in case they do anything special and then we will make our Remy's/Palo's reservations for 8:30 p.m. so we can do it all!

I am so going to do the dining rotation as well! What a great idea! Although at this point I am not hungry and have lost 28 pounds over the last 2-3 weeks due to the chemo. I guess I will gain it all back on the cruise! Just hoping my hair comes back in as well. My family (lives 9 hours from me) has decided to call me there little billiard ball!

I'm assuming it will be the night before... on the 25th? I can find no mention of the actual date on our Event's Page.

Leslie, we will be there from Nov 28 until Dec 5, so no, we will not be there the 12th.

Georgie - guess we will have to start looking at plans for that BBQ and set a date and time. Scott has been so busy at work, and we have not really even thought about this cruise much (as we do not need to research ports of call) We will get back to you (and everyone else) shortly with that info.

So I had to share my excitement... I have been thinking and thinking over the last few weeks as to how to extend our vacation (since 4 days just isn't enough in January). I think we have decided to do a b2b dream cruise! I had the day off and went to talk to my travel agent.... well she called in for reservations and their computers were down just my luck. But I have tomorrow off too... so we'll see what happens! Have a good friday all!

We are also doing a Back 2 Back on the MV and 30th.....paid them both off and then on the 28th I can start booking Palo!!! A few weeks ago our TA called to say that the cruise on the 30th had gone in price by about $300 so we had less of a balance due on that cruise....

I believe there are many doing a B2B on this cruise!!!

We are cruising on the 10-30-10 Magic so I have been spending more time on that Meets thread to get ready for that cruise....then I can spend some time getting to know everyone on this Meets thread!!! January can't come soon enough!!!

We were on the MV of the Magic too! Hope we get to meet on this cruise. How well we remember the never ending loop of the celebration being played in our stateroom. Especially after all the hoopla they gave us about being the first group sailing. They meant we were the first group who paid to sail! HA! There was no celebration when we set sail, other than the normal sail away. We just set our sites too high. DCL did eventually turn off the broadcast because so many were upset.

For this cruise we are just excited to be onboard with all of our dear friends we've met while sailing with Disney. That will be the highlight for us.

Do be prepared... there will once again be a group who does get to sail before us, but don't let that get you down. We will be there for the official opening!!! And we will do all of the celebrating!!!

How cool....a fellow Magic MVer!!! I wonder how many others were on the MV of the Magic or Wonder on this one as well. Hope I did not come off as bitter in my other post...I really am not and was not. The Magic MV was our first cruise ever so I really didn't know what to expect with cruising at all....we were a bit disappointed that DCL didn't do a bigger deal for the MVers (is that even a word? LOL) but for the most part we were just enjoying the ship and the cruising experience. Speaking of the cruises before ours....I know there are a few and I posted something about them on the main board in a thread titled "Dream Preview Cruise"....from some of the other posts I got the impression that people think the MVers of the Dream don't realize that there are cruises before ours and we think we are going to be the first to sleep in the beds....I think we all know there are preview/press/VIP cruises.

I am just super looking forward to exploring the Dream....if they do special things, wonderful....if they don't...oh well but I hope they don't have an almost mutiny like on the MV of the Magic.

Yes... We will be at the 8:15.

We had to cancel our October trip just in case Mom B. has her hip replacement... Life is getting in the way of Disney!

What date were you thinking about - we are staying at the Port Orleans riverside from the 20th January and would love to attend if it is during that time. Unfortunately flying internationally we wont have a lot of room to bring stuf (must remember 18 year old daughter and her wardrobe) but could bring some New Zealand condiments and sauces for everyone to compare
