Just got our GTY room assigned. On deck 8 all the way forward. We're going to have a great view at Castaway Cay! Can't wait!!!

I'm forward too! However, the ship usually pulls in AFT forward, so the front of the ship is usually facing the ocean. Then when Captain Tom leaves Castaway Cay, it will be a straight shot to the ocean.

However, it will be interesting if they pull in FORWARD for the 1st "official cruise" instead of turning around and bringing in the AFT first. In any case, I will be out of bed and out on the open deck. Don't want to miss this amazing feat by the captain!

Morning all

Just got back from the Magic Med cruise from Dover to Barcelona. Had a fabulous time, ports were lovely, staff were great and the sun was shining (once we got south of England and France)!! The only downside was having my brand new IPhone4 stolen in Gibraltar by a pickpocket. Police, cruise terminal staff and Disney were very helpful though so I'll definitely be going back as Gib was really nice.

Spoke to a few staff onboard who will be joining us on the Dream MV ... 2 of them were Douglas who is Merchandise Manager and Mario who is a head server. Douglas said that the Dream will have 3 shops and they are roughly twice the size of the existing ones. One shop on the MV will exclusively stock MV merchandise so get that money saved .. this is going to hurt!!

I'm off to see if my GTY cabin has been assigned ...

A whole shop with only MV merchandise?!! My shopping budget just doubled! Thanks for the "inside" information.
