Hello there! WOW! Have I been overwhelmed with information since booking what seems to be the "Halloween Cruise" yesterday! My DW, Pam, and I (Jeff) are celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and we decided to do it on the high seas on the Dream. Excited is an understatement!

So, I stumbled upon the DISboards last night... had NO idea there was such a tremendous community so actively involved. We're new WDW Annual Passholders and have been in full-Disney mode for a couple months now. Being originally from Massachusetts, it was always a dream of mine to go to WDW... okay, it took nearly 40 years for it all to fall into place but like they say, better late than never.

I'm doing all sorts of research on the trip, excursions, and the "to do" things... I've learned about FEs, decorating cabin doors, and other fun stuff. So, how many of you have already been on an "Halloween" cruise? How "Halloween" is it? I'm sure it'll be much more "magical" than handing out candy at home... what can we expect?

Gotta say, I'm truly enjoying reading these forums and learning the lay of the land... who knows, maybe I won't be a Disney novice too long!

Welcome to the boards!!! Looks like we will be having a few 1st time cruisers on this trip. Very exciting! In fact this will be my brother and sister-in laws first cruise too! This will be my husband and I 4th cruise.

I have never been on a Halloween Cruise but I can imagine the magical moments the ship will have. I know they decorate the atrium which looks really cool!

Hope you get a lot of information regarding everything cruise wise here. If you need any other info or have questions you can post them here and we will try to get them answered for you as well.

Have myself and the "hubs" booked for this cruise. Going with my brother, sister in law and their 2 kids. this will be our 2 DCL cruise (3rd total), but my brother and family have taken quite a few more:good vibes

This is the first chance I have had to get the DISBoards in a while....cant wait till we are onboard

Love the idea of doing a Halloween cruise, especially since it is also my nephew's birthday!!! Should be a blast!

Has anyone started on FE gifts yet? I have everything to start crafting, have bought a BUNCH of stuff as well and well...just need to find time now to get my act together. This is our second cruise and we'll be celebrating 1 year of marriage on November 1st!! We were on the Disney Magic for our honeymoon. We're excited to be participating in FE this cruise as well as decorating our stateroom door.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

Eeyoye Girl seems to be doing a great job maintaining the FE for this cruise in Post #1 in this thread.

no particular way to group our rooms. if you'd like to put us as one room, that would be fine as well. whichever works. as for the candy exchange, still thinking about it
