Got our cruise booklets today. Now it seems like its totally real!!!
We are so excited for all the Christmas festivities of the parks as well as the Dream.

OK, so we're getting closer now!!!!!!

I am working with the gal stateside to set up our Private Mixology class. They would like to know if 2PM on our sea day is OK with everyone?

I have 13 people signed up, which is plenty for the class to go ahead and that even leaves two extra spots if there is anyone who would like to join who has not already. All I need is your last name and stateroom number.

So far I have @Jessica Nixon, @purfectlyweird, @Katie Pittman, and @Minniemoomoo along with your other 3, 2, 1or 1 companions, respectively. Just an FYI.

On my Wonder cruise last week, they were handing out bills at the end of the session rather than billing staterooms directly. I suppose they might have been receiving some flack for those who did not show up and were billed. This also may have something to do with the fact that also on the Wonder they were not set up to offer "real" Mixology classes.

From what I understand, on the Dream, we will actually be making most of the drinks as they have a set up to offer this. On the Wonder, our drinks were all pre-poured because they did not have the resources at the time the ship was built to offer such a bar set up. As a result, three lucky people got to prepare each of the four pre-poured drinks. I was lucky enough at both classes to make one of two different drinks, although I have no recollection of how to make the one I made at the second class! :rotfl2:

Totally looking forward to meeting you all and making some drinks! :drinking:

This is soooooo good!!!!! 2pm is perfect for us. I do have one more wanting to join. Devon Ford stateroom-10656.

I've never done a mixology class, but would like to give it a try!

I will need your surname and stateroom number. You are number 15 and the class is now full! I will email them back the list of names.

Don,
If you enjoy spirits and interesting mixed drinks, I'm sure you would love it! Every class that I've done (mostly on the Wonder), it has been a blast! The instructor knows that while we might like to be there to learn about new drinks, we're mostly there for the drinks!

We have decided to cancel our Serenity Bay Cabana rental. It's number 25. If interested, PM me and we can try to do an exchange. I'm not sure if it will work. I've never tried to do this. I know that it takes about 15-20 minutes for cruise info to refresh. Such as stateroom that are available as well as category. It may be the same way with cabanas. Just thought I'd try our group first before I just cancel it.
CANCELLED....

This sounds great. I'll make a note of the time.

I sent off our list to them today so we're confirmed. I think this is perfect! I'm glad most everyone else likes the time. See you on Thursday at 2PM!

Hi all - We have been quiet on the board in part because we have had little control over our trip details since we are part of Make-A-Wish and in part because I have been hard at work on our FE's. But now we have more details. We too will be staying at the Hyatt at MCO the night before the cruise. And it just dawned on me that since we will be getting in early afternoon, we could potentially use that time to do something at Disney. My first thought was the Osborne lights at the Studios since we have never seen them and this is the last year, but it seems like an awful lot of $ to see lights. My second thought was the Merry Christmas Party at WDW as we have no expiration date passes to WDW already. Thoughts? Also, is there an easy way to get from the hotel to either of these parks? Thanks!

The Christmas Party is a separate hard ticketed event and a WDW pass is not valid on Party nights : ( There is no ME unless you are a WDW resort guest - otherwise I recommend Mears or hire a car service. You can rent a car and park at WDW but you will have to pay for parking at whichever park you choose. If you do not want to pay for a park admission (or parking), you can watch the MVMCP fireworks from the TTC, or you can visit a hotel, have a meal and watch the fireworks from that hotel beach area - Polynesian or GF. If it were me and I didn't intend to go to a park, I would rent a car, make a dinner reservation at the Grand Floridian Café or Kona Café (by now that is probably all that is available) and then you can park at the hotel for free, have dinner, ride the monorail to each resort on the monorail line because the hotels will be decked out for Christmas (GF & Contemporary also have life size gingerbread displays) and watch the fireworks at 9:30 from one of the hotel beaches GF or Poly). If you have time, you can take a quick boat from the Contemporary to the WL, because the WL has some of the best Christmas decorations on the entire property. The cost will be about 30.00 for the car, plus the cost of your meal at Kona or GF café. You will have a full night of Christmas decorations, fireworks and a nice monorail ride...

Looks like I missed out on a bunch of new conversations since the forum settings isn't notifying me by email when this thread is being responded to. (Yes, I'm watching it and have it setup to notify me of replies).

Any who! Excited the cruise is coming up in a few weeks. Just got back from DLR/DCA, running the Avengers Infinity Gauntlet Challenge. I have our FE gifts all ready to go! :)

Anyone doing the Castaway Cay 5k? It'll be our 5yo first race and she is excited to get her finishers medal. :)

-Nico
