We're doing a B2B - Aug 25-28, then this one Maybe I'll see you at one of your meets (I have a large group to work out details with, so I'm not sure I'll make it, but I'll try!)

Welcome aboard Stacey!!

Well my FE is finished. I made it myself. This is the first arts and craft project I have attempted since Kindergarten It's not as nice as the one's you can buy on eBay but I am proud of myself for even attempting it.

All of my FE gifts are finished, packed and ready for shipping. I am so excited about the FE and so glad that I decided to participate!!!

I got the suitcases out this weekend and we have started putting some things inside. I am determined to be finished packing by Sunday (we leave Tuesday morning). I am notorious for packing the night before. It is soooo stressful so I am trying to avoid this at all costs.

I can't believe we leave for Pop Century next Tuesday. Only 7 more sleeps

Do we have any planned meets scheduled? If so, can someone post the details? I thought I remembered someone mentioning a meet during the Sail Away party.

So if I have this right... here are the tentative DIS meet plans:

July 30 - 11AM - NYC Mini Meet - Disney Store in Times Square followed by lunch at Hard Rock Cafe (lunch venue is tentative)

August 27 - 8PM - Pre-Cruise Meet w Yehaa Bob - River Roost Lounge, Port Orleans Riverside (first set starts @ 8:30PM)

August 29 - First on cruise meet - after Life Boat Drill and Before Sail Away Party (approx 4:15pm). Need to find a specific spot on deck 11 (or 12) to meet.

August 30 (Castaway Cay Day / Pirate Night) - Group Picture. Place and time - TBD (or should we do this on Nassau Day)... I think we should wait the extra day to work out the logistics and be able to communicate them to each other.

August 31 (sea day) - Mickey Bar Eating Contest? Place and time - TBD

Ongoing thruout the cruise:

By no means should everyone feel like they need to attend all these meets. This is, afterall, everyone's vacations... and people should feel free to veg out and not follow a schedule if they so desire.

Also... not sure if many of you listen to the DIS Unplugged Podcast - where the folks that own these boards (and run Dreams Unlimited Travel) have an entertaining Disney Podcast (if you dont listen... you should... its very entertaining). The folks running the podcast are encouraging listeners to make $10 donations to Give Kids the World, which is a Orlando area not for profit organization that helps send children who are quite ill to vacation with their families to Disney World. They hope to ultimately raise $1 million for this cause. There was a recent podcast where someone suggested that Disboards cruise meets (like ours) encourage members to contribute $10 towards this cause. Personally I think its a wonderful idea. Here is more information on the cause. Now I will get off the soap box.

Since this is my first cruise i need help where is a good place to meet on decks 11 or 12 after life boat drills ? I need help please
everything else will be done as i know it and put up on my dry erase board on my stateroom door

I would say since i do not know the ship we can pick an area around 415-430 give or take 10-15 min big ship to catch up . i figure i can make some Dis board signs to make it easy to find us . I figured somewhere facing or near the stage ? how does this sound ?

Sounds great, maybe the signs should be Mickey head lime green, lol
