As long as we manage to get on the ship before anything interferes, I'm okay with that.

It is if for some reason we can't get on the ship on time that worries me.

If we are on the ship, they will just divert to somewhere safer.

I don't really care where I go just as long as I am on the ship. They can leave it tied up at Port Canaveral for all I care

Thanks for the link- I was just wondering to myself how the weather looks out there off the coast of Africa. Hopefully nothing is brewing- and if it does- it can go off into the mid atlantic.

Do you drop the gifts off to all cabins in one day, or do you take it in turns to deliver to everyone in the group?

Hello! Since we are a small group, I would say try to deliver on the same day but your choice of time/day. That way the kids are all on the same page (I.e. "hey, I received $1 million dollars in my guppy exchange"... and "oh, I got that today too and I am so excited to spend it!!") LOL

If you have several smaller gifts, it would be fun to spread out over several days, but try to deliver like items to everyone around the same time.

This is just a guideline - do what ends up working best for you and your family. It will work out fine. Hope this helps!

Does anyone know if there is a formal night on this cruise? I know there's the pirate night, but is there also a formal one?

Not really "formal"...here's the description from DCL:

On 4-night cruises:

First night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
One "dress-up night"—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women Final night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops

You'll still see people in shorts on the "dress up" night.

Thanks! I doubt I'll be bringing a jacket for the formal night, but I guess I will bring a dress shirt (maybe a tie).

No tie for my DH...At the most he will be wearing are dockers and a polo. For me I will probably wear a pair of pants or a skirt., but that is as formal as Im gonna get. No room in my packing for extra shoes and stockings and all those trappings... You will see A LOT of people in shorts still.

Yep - no cabin assignment for us either! I'll keep checking - because clearly I have nothing better to do than work - and hopefully it will update for us all later. It seems like a lot of other posters on other threads were posting they received theirs at 10 days out. Anyway you look it - we're getting closer and closer!

Oh I know! When I saw lots of people posting yesterday about getting their assignments for the cruise just before ours...that dreadful feeling came over me that we might not hear until next Monday. Ugh.

My fingers are crossed, and my "refresh" button is getting a workout (I'm at work and have my DCL page minimized)!!

Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later!
