Disney Dream! 8/15/2012

I know it's forever away! But, we just booked our 1st Disney cruise! We are a family of 4 with 2 tween/teen kids! We are all so super excited and are just starting our "Disboards Hunting" to find out all sorts of great info on cruising, excursions, dining etc!
If you're going too-let us know!

Hi nicolepdonnelly! We are avid Disney cruisers and booked this while on board the Wonder this past Dec. My mom and sisters are also planning to book this one while we are all onboard the Dream next month. I'm sooooo excited about the Dream. I think you are going to love DCL! My DD14 loves the teen club on the Wonder and is very excited about the club on the Dream. I also have a DD9 that will be turning 10 on the boat so she'll be able to provide input from her age perspective about the lab and the new tween club as well.

Hello everyone.

We have just booked this cruise, which is really out of character for us. We never book anything this far out.

There are a bunch of us DISers over on the Community Board that are planning on sailing this cruise

I hope we get to know each other better before we sail. It makes the cruise so much fun to have people you know and can recognize around the ship.

I forgot to add that it will be my husband's and mine, 14th Disney Cruise. Unless of course we squeeze one in there before this one departs

I have also booked my mom in with us. Guess I should ask her if she wants to come.

Wow...14th! I'm so jealous. We cruise in 26 days and it will be our 6th. Will take me a while to get to 14....

LOL! I told DH that and he was like uh huh. Don't think he's feeling catching up with you however I am going to manage one more this year. Just DH and I on Dec. 15th.

We returned from a 7 night on the Magic on January 15, and booked our Dream cruise 2 days later! My 2 daughters, 7 & 10 can't wait! I wish I would have found this board BEFORE our last cruise! It would have been fun to meet some people from here!

I know that our cruise so very far away but I just wanted to say Hi to everyone. This will be out first cruise. We are from Rhode Island originally but now live in Connecticut. We will be celebrating our son's 5th birthday as well a late celebration of out 5th wedding anniversary. We leave Connecticut the day after our son's birthday to drive down to WDW for 5 days before we leave for our cruise. We are so excited and are really looking forward to meeting some great families during our time at sea.

I've been reading a lot about "fish extenders" and was wondering if anyone else was going to be doing this. I'm really looking forward to decorating out door and am looking for anymore ideas to make this trip even more special.

In my 13 Disney cruises I have only done the fish extender exchange twice. I did really enjoy it and would consider doing it again. As long as the group does not get too big that is.

It is exciting to come back to your cabin and check your extender for "surprises".

I will warn you though that fish extender stuff can take up a lot of space when you are packing. So if you are flying and have limited suitcase space you have to be creative to find easily transported stuff.

My DD & I will be cruising with you all too. We're part of 'Cruisin's' group that she mentioned. It will be our 1st cruise and I hate having to wait so long, but we're looking forward to it.

fantastic plan. We are also looking at maybe doing a Dream cruise this fall.

Our anniversary is in October too. We got married on October 20. What date did you get married on?

I'm trying to convince my husband that we need to go sooner. I don't think that it's working but we'll see. I did tell him the benefits of booking another cruise while on board and he seemed interested in that.
Until then I'll be glued to the Dis boards and read trip reports. I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone on this board too.
