DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Can someone please advise me as to where I can find door magnets with specific names and/or dates or styles and I can edit? I saw one disboard but each designer has their own designes and in no particular order. Just wondering if I could search for "Lori" and options would show up and if I could then edit with date, etc. Thanks for any help!!!!!:flower3:

We'll be following Chuck around, checking out the artwork and playing the detective game!! :thumbsup2 May even take some time to play FE fairy, or FE elf, or whatever ya call it. Then I think I may be peeking into the Outlook around 4:00, or at least hanging around to see the wedding party!!! Congrats to the bride and groom!! If the Outlook on the Dream is anything like the one on the Wonder, it will be great!! That was my happy place on our last cruise.

Angie, thanks for the explanation on how to get to Virginia's photobucket account. It works that way!

Virginia, I love the font you used for the nametags! The 3-D effect is really cool!!

Hey Beth,
It's just us and another couple - so if you peek in at the right time, you might score a piece of cake!!:cheer2:

The Outlook looks beautiful in the picture the Wedding Coordinator sent us. Did you have a ceremony on the Wonder (wedding/vow renewal)?

I would suggest going to the bottom of the page and selecting "Forum Jump" and go to the Just for Fun section at the bottom of the list. There is a category 'Creative DISigners'.... Once you click on that category, it will take you to the forum. Once you are in the forum, there is a Sticky titled "Meet the DISigners". If you choose that thread, you can see what each DISigner will create for you, or you can look through their photobuckets to see designs they've created for others.
Usually, they'll have folders set up and everything will be split into categories. I've asked Milliepie to create a DISign for me before and her photobucket was very organized. She even had names split into sections (i.e. A-C, D-F, etc...)

Thank you so much for your help!! You're an :littleangel:

I may be following both you!:lmao: We don't plan on getting off the ship in Nassau- we'll see, but generally I like to lounge at the pool or now we have the aquaduck and a new ship to discover.

We are also staying on the ship. We didn't get off last time and I wanted to book Atlantis or a dolphin encounter, but decided I would wait until dd is a little older. I also want to be able to enjoy the pool and slide with it being less crowded. Last time, we did the spa pass on Nassau day and loved it.

I might also have to try to get a peek at 3rascals wedding. :upsidedow

search for Shadowryter, she is incredible and has a huge file base of graphics. she will also customize for you too.

Missed it. I looked last night and there was nothing and I looked this morning when I saw this and there was nothing.:sad2: Guess we're not getting to go this trip unless we get some pixie dust.

I just looked again this morning and it's showing that it's open--so you may want to check again-- good luck!!:thumbsup2

Josie is going too the teen spa and I am planning too check out the ship...eat...sip tropical drinks by the pool and catch some rays....Oh and ride the Aqua duck...:thumbsup2

We have been too Nassau on several cruises too...So we don't feel the need to go into town this trip..Plus I don't have hubby with me.:sad2:

I am actually looking forward too spending the day on the Dream....

Hey, my family and I are on the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter! We have been debating whether or not we want to do it. It sounds like a lot of fun, but we didn't want to pack our day too full.

Hopefully we will see you there!! I looked thru a lot of the different excursions & there isn't much for a 5 year old so we thought this would be perfect. She is not at all shy or nervous so I'm sure she'll have a blast! How old are your kids?

Kelly

Glad to see 3rascals hanging out with us again. :) She's probably afraid of being called Bueller again if she falls off the board. :rotfl:

Virginia, can we get the final final count on the FE #s? I've got to get my stuff finished up! Thanks so much!

So here's a poll or two to indulge my chattiness:
1) Have you got your suitcase out yet (anything in it?)
2) What's something on your packing list that might not be on ours?

have a great day!!!!

Yup, that's what I do. Went on to the 'Creative DISigners' forum. Milliepie is great, Shadowryter and Jordak. They are all soooo super nice and creative! But be warned, it's ADDICTIVE!

Hi! Sorry I haven't been checking in more often. :guilty:

The Bueller comment was funny, I say that on conference calls for work all of the time when I take attendance and all I hear is crickets.... :)

We have received our confirmation for our wedding ceremony!!!! Our Meet & Greet with the wedding coordinator is scheduled for Sunday at 3 PM (so we'll plan to attend the DISBoards meet & greet at 10 PM). Our ceremony will be held on May 31st (Nassau Day) at 4:00 PM on Deck 14 (The Outlook). I haven't been successful at posting the picture of The Outlook in this thread. It's really beautiful so I wish I could figure out how to post it... you wouldn't know I work with computers when it comes to posting on this board?!?!

We're looking forward to meeting all of you. Thanks to everyone who has wished us well during this exciting time! See you real soon!!

Yeah!!! How exciting! I hope to catch a glimpse too! Beth, you and I can stalk! Hee hee!

Good Morning Angie,

Thanks for the pictures. Yes, the first pic is very appropriate. I will never forget that day, I saw the 2nd plane hit the tower. I was across the river in safety but the horror of what we saw was surreal.

We don't have much planned for Nassau except to get the obligatory Christmas ornament. I hope to spend most of that day on the ship checking out the art work and just relaxing.

Hope you and everyone else had a great weekend.

I may be following both you!:lmao: We don't plan on getting off the ship in Nassau- we'll see, but generally I like to lounge at the pool or now we have the aquaduck and a new ship to discover.

Oh.... :rolleyes1:littleangel:

I think "everyone" should go check out Nassau. Go enjoy the Bahamas. We will self-sacrificiously hold down the fort on the boat for everyone. Don't feel stuck on the ship. We will make sure the Aquaduck gets used properly, the sundecks gets used nicely, :yay: We are here for you, and we will be happy to take care of the ship whilst everyone else heads into port. :littleangel::littleangel:

Isn't that like SUPERSWEET of me to offer? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:yay:

We'll take care of the boat for everyone .:cool1::cool1:

I totally Agree! I don't mind helping you! pirate:

We did the Dolphin Encounter at Blue Lagoon on our first Disney Cruise and it was magical!! :tinker: Our last cruise we stayed on the boat in Nassau (DH goes gambling at Atlantis and me and DD's stay on the boat and relax, swim) and we plan to do the same this cruise. The dolphins are very interactive with you so if you have small children, it may be scary for them. Mine were 4 and 7 at the time and my 7 year old loved it but my 4 year old was a little scared. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience for us. We may do it again next cruise but we are trying to get as much time as we can with Aquaduck :donald:

We'll be staying onboard too!!! We'll guard the ship with you!

I had one last change from this weekend, which is just a room change for 5griffinsmom (yeah connecting rooms)! I think the only changes that may happen between now and cruise are room changes! But otherwise we are closed. I will work on a map that goes with this. Can't promise it, but will work on one.... I've update the post that connects to the link in my siggie which has the disnames, final counts and spreadsheet. I've updated my photobucket. Now I can still send you a pdf if you'd like, just PM me with your email address.

Virginia,

In case you don't get to making the map, I did post the deck plans for the Dream that everyone can print and use as a guide. The link is in the roll call.

Just ordered my Basket by Shirley, can't wait to see it :) Spoke with Brooke on the phone and she was a doll. Had anyone ever ordered any of the gifts that are available on the DCL website? Are those same items available on the ship when we cruise. Thought the Minnie purse would be cute for my daughter but the picture is so small you can barely see it.

Time is flying by!! Rainy day in Ontario and sooooo looking forward to sun, sand and a beautiful beach :)

Have a great day all,
Kelly

Can I ask what you guys ordered and what it cost? I'm thinking about doing this for the girls... the kicker is ordering a basket that doesn't bust the budget while providing goodies for both a 4 and 7 yr old at the same time!

The gifts you can order from DCL ahead of time are available in the gift shop. I thought that when I ordered the ship model for my DH last year that the actual model would be in the room when we got there. Instead, there was a certificate to pick it up at the store. I could have just gotten it at the store & not paid for it ahead of time.:confused3 I also ordered one of the beer packages. That we had to call room service to have delivered. They had us sign a receipt when it was delivered. When I checked our account at Customer Service later that day it turned out that they had charged us again. I had kept a copy of my online receipt for my whole order, but it still took them a whole day to check into it and correct my account. It is a good thing to check your account for descrepancies. I wish I had on our first cruise. On checkout day I found that the server on deck on the first day ( who told me that no tip was included in the price of drinks and I ended up adding some) also doubled my drink order including the extra tip. We had to get off-board quickly, so I didn't end up going to CS for it because the line was too long. I won't make that mistake again. I will check my on-board account a few times during the cruise.:thumbsup2

GREAT! Thanks so much for the info. I will definitely keep an eye open for that.

Hi Angie, I had made note of a few things I wanted to get for DD(5)'s basket. Ended up being more than I was thinking but only because I decided to be a nice DW and order my DH a bottle of Crown Royal for the room :)

So for $200 we are getting - mickey duffle, pirate stuff, small bucket with sand toys, movie snacks, water bottle for DD, Mickey coloring book and crayons, glow sticks, tattoos, goldfish, gummie bears and a 12 pack of Pepsi for me. That includes tax & the $14 delivery fee they pay DCL.

I think it'll be well worth the cost & Emily will be thrilled to have a present from Mickey. If you gave them a budget, I'm sure they'd have lots of ideas that would be great for your little ones.

Kelly
