Just go to the excurisons desk on the ship as soon as it is open. They always hold back spots for booking onboard.

I am also looking forward to the single digits. Seems like it has been forever since we booked this cruise.

Had some good news today. I am finally back to my goal weight on Weight Watchers. I lost 90 pounds 8 years ago and some of the weight had crept back. Lost the 25 pounds since Thanksgiving. Now I just need to keep it off and not slip back into old habits. I want to let the old habits slip back during the cruise so I can eat what I want...:lmao:

This is our first cruise where we are not booking any excursions. It will seem a little odd but I am really looking forward to the rest and relaxation.

Congrats on the weight loss. I need to get back to counting points and getting ready for the cruise myself. How do you like the points+ system?

Thanks. I really like the new point sytem. I am a big fruit person and they always added up for me. Now I can have as much as I want. The point values have gone up a little though. I have the iPhone app and it helps a lot. You can adjust the portion sizes so easily to check point values. And I have access to restaurant info etc while on the go.

The only thing I don't like is that you could do the math in your head with the old formula. Now it's not that easy.

I just posted this on the main thread and then realized there is this cruise meet site. We are on the Dream May 29th cruise and I booked us a room at Comfort Suites so we could do Atlantis for a day. Unfortunately they only allow 4 people in a room which means we either leave our 5 year old daughter on the ship for a day or try to find someone who may have an extra spot in their reservation. We'd be happy to contribute towards the room if anyone has an extra 4th spot in their room. Just wish they'd let us add her since we don't actually sleep in the room. If anyone has or knows of anyone with a spot, we'd sure appreciate being able to have our daughter join my hubby and our two sons.
thanks!!!

This seems to be the only negative I have been hearing about the new system. I need to get online and check it out. I have been paying a monthly subscription for a year now and still not really gotten on the program.

It takes a lot of work at first but we have adjusted well. We are both pretty good cooks and Mark used to be a chef, so we are always coming up with ways to make our favorite foods more healthy.

Can you both come cook for me?? Yes, I lost 190- but they said "too much- put 25 back on!" so apparently that was SO much fun, that I decided to do it AGAIN. Now I need to get the extra 25 off to get back to my goal weight. And I really would LOVE to before this cruise so I can try a few things 'guilt free' (even sugar free deserts are not without cost) but it's SO damn hard. I wish I was one of those people who could live on yogurt and cottage cheese for a month or two!

Congrats on the weight loss!

We decided not to book any excursions. I was looking at booking at Atlantis for the water park, but my 10yo said he would be happy to stay on the boat and my 6yo does not meet the height requirement for most of the slides, so maybe we will do Atlantis next time.

Have fun! We're staying at Disney's Vero Beach after the cruise; look forward to hearing your comments about your stay. We've never stayed there before.

Our first time at Vero also. We had just enough dvc pts for 4 nights. Wanted to stay at the park but our annual passes expire a week before the cruise and just couldn't see spending the extra $.

Well, we have officially started packing. My DH is such a boy scout. He wanted to start yesterday while we were packing the camper. So, now, we have most of our clothes packed and ready to go. He has already started mapping our drive and planning the stops. :lovestruc

Actually in the suitcase? Wow you are ambitious - far more than I! I have only gotten as far as dedicating a drawer in the spare bedroom to store the new shorts, tops, and swimsuits I have purchased ober the past month.

I started doing a little shopping over the weekend. I need clothes that fit and don't fall off. The 25 pounds I lost brought me down a shirt size and a pants size. The new clothes will be the incentive to keep it off this time.

We have 2 suitcases packed. I think it's too early to do it because we will forget about half of what we've already packed.

This may sound like a silly question - but we don't really travel THAT much and I'm a last minute packer (nothing goes into a suitcase until the day before we are leaving, and ususally right before I go to bed).
How do you keep all that stuff from not getting wrinkled?? Is there a better way to pack things that help prevent wrinkles?? Like I said- I pack the night before and I still feel all wrinkled when I wear the stuff that I end up unpacking the next night once we are in our destination!!!!

I lost my sewing room (packing room) when DS moved back home last month. Last 2 vacations I just left the suitcases out on my cutting table and packed a little at a time. This year I will probably be packing a day or two before because I have nowhere to leave a suitcase open. If I leave them open too long the cats try to pack themselves in there.:lmao:

As far as DH, his suitcases are in the attic already packed. He comes home from vacation, does the wash, refolds everything and puts it back in his Disney bag, wrapped in a thick plastic bag, and he's ready for the next vacation. I'm talking everything right down to the underwear. If I would come home from work tomorrow & say we're leaving for Disney, he would just grab his bag, some shoes and sandles & his bathroom kit & he'd be ready to go:cool1:. Me, I'd still have to pack. I wear my Disney stuff year round.
