I suggested it to DH and he said "our group would drive that woman crazy/over run that cabana." really that is his anti-social self's way of saying " I dont want to spend that kind of money to hang out with a stranger all day". What a butthead! I say we float him and the packing-nazi husband out in their own little dinghy.

OMG I am DYING here!!! I am at work - have been since 3pm. I'm not working on the unit (no patients for me until mid June) but I am doing "IS Support" of our "updaed" electronic medical record. I was busy from 3 to about 6 then NOTHING. The docs are all gone - the nurse's are doing fine. I have been walking around aimlessly and finally settled in my office with my laptop and I swear I have read almost every single post on DIS Cruise boards that have been posted since yesterday. Then I skipped over to All Ears and parused every single menu (got myself hungry), and then I went to DCL's web site and printed out stuff I wanted.....
I need to go HOME and I'm falling asleep and not even these boards are perking me up right now. Doesn't help that I have to be back here at 7am!!! I NEED SLEEP!!!!!!! And all I keep thinking is "I could be home PACKING!!!!"

Nothing really on adult beverages.... If you have an extra little somthin-something that's cool but nothing special or out of the ordinary needed

I wouldn't call that FE amazing lol. I'd call it "will do in a pinch" lol

Okay I whipped out a quick little FE for Stephen the Brave (or is it Stephen the Great? Or both? I'm getting confused). It's nothing fancy, and the mickey's are scrapbook stickers that hopefully will stay put, but it will get the job done at least! SO, to leave an FE for maxxumuser/Stephen the Brave, look for this FE at stateroom 9526!!

WOW, Angie!! Great job!! I have made note of the room number and put Stephen's FE back in the bag! Your parents are awesome to help out like this!! Thanks so much for stepping up and organizing this for the little guy.

1. Finish Packing in SMALL suitcases
2. Kill Husband (or gently mame....)
3. UNPACK Husband's belongings
4. Use husband's packing space for MORE SHOES
5. Have fun without husband.........

I'm thinking we must be related!! I often develop the same sort of attitude when packing for a Disney trip!! Hang in there, girlfriend!!

Got our packing done tonight except for the stuff we keep using up to when we leave. I even remembered to leave space for those items and left myself a written list on top of the suitcase so I wouldn't forget. Sometimes, the excitement pushes me over the edge the day we leave and I'm lucky to remember my name, much less the last minute stuff to pack!

I have a reservation for 2 for Remy at 7 p.m. on June 2nd, the last night of the cruise. After reviewing the menu and thinking about the cost, I plan to cancel this tomorrow. I'll try to coordinate if someone is interested in picking up the reservation.

If anyone is interested I canceled our groups parasailing for day 2 at castway cay, with me being laid off and now the dishwasher quit I just can't see spending the money.

I also want to make sure I am counting right, without counting our room, there are 47 staterooms for the FE.....can someone double check me? I was going to do something better but funds are tight so I had to do a stateroom gift.

To our Dis friends,

We have a horrible situation going on here in St. Louis and have had to cancel our cruise. Hopefully we will be able to rebook with Disney for another trip and not lose all of our money on it.

My DS Stephen rode his new bike down a hill and went way too fast and couldn't stop in time and crashed. He ended up smashing a section of his spleen and is in the hospital waiting to find out if he needs surgery or just bed rest for the next eight weeks or so. Out of all the needles for blood tests, nursing student mistakes, and the misplacing of his catheter...the most painful part of the night for him was when mommy had to tell him that he was not going to meet Mickey Mouse this week after all.

We wish you all a most joyous cruise. Keep us in your prayers.

Heavenly Father, Please wrap Your arms around Stephen and allow his spleen to heal. I pray You will give Stephen the patience he needs to get through this safely. Please give Bill and Carol strength and comfort as they stand by their son. Put a wall of protection around this family that only You can do. In Your Name I pray, Amen.

God Bless you. I work for Children's Hospital in Birmingham and it is so hard to see loving families go through hard times. Please keep us updated. I will keep him in my prayers.

hummm...sounds similar over here too! I mentioned it to DH and he was like, er, um.....we really like serenity bay blah blah blah.... I think it would have been great to share as I wouldn't spend the full price for the 2 of us!!

Hey Gang!

I'm so sad for little stephen the brave. And for mommy and daddy too! What a bummer!

I'd like to go ahead and collect their FE gifts for them while we are on the ship. My inlaws are sailing in room 9526 and have agreed to hang an FE on their door to collect Stephen the Brave's little gifts! (They were not participating in the FE in general). If you would like to still drop FE stuff for this family, please leave it at 9526 (right next door to me) and we will bring it all home and ship it to them. I know I'd sure appreciate the pixie dust and package if it were us.

I would like to see if anyone would volunteer to help me out in that if it is too much stuff for me to drag home (with all our stuff!), I'm looking for a person or two who would split the load with me, take some of it home, and ship from your place too. If you're willing to help out, please let me know and I'll make note to get in touch with you on the ship if I need to!

And... if you have an extra magnet or little touch of something that you'd like to leave for my inlaws for helping us out, feel free to leave that for Anne and Gary

I have Maxxumusers address if you want to PM me for it should you wish to send a postcard or something.

We would love to help ship everything to Stephen. We live in Florida (about an hour from Port Canaveral) so we have plenty of room to bring everything home and ship it. I have two boys (one is even named Stephen!) and I know they would be thrilled to be involved. We are in 7070 so please let us know how we can help.

Stephen -- we will be thinking about you all week! Hurry and feel better, when you plan another trip to visit Mickey and friends let us know and we will help to make it extra special!

Well, looks like the weather hit more of the central part of Kansas than us last night... not sure how they fared, but we just got a good thunderstorm out of it. (Not even hail here at our house, thank goodness!). Whew! Did you see though that Joplin was under a tornado warning again last night? Those poor people!

First day of no school today, the girls were up at 630. That's their problem, until they start coming into my room to ask me things, or start fighting. It's a rainy day here so I'm going to try to employ the electronic babysitter (TV), give the girls pedis, do a craft project, and survive. Really what I want to do is running last minute errands for things.

Did I tell you we're definately going to have to check 3 bags. It's the weight thing. I should have shipped the FE gifts I guess. You better all love them lol

Thanks for all the offers of help for Stephen's /Maxxumusers FE. We are going to hook them up great!

So the late breaking updates to our FE is that:

bring maxxumuser (8658) fe gifts to 9526 (if you'd like, they are not able to attend the cruise because of poor stephen's boo boo)

also olewnikpe in 7560 has dropped out

and unixadm in 8114 was the last family to join

I am not updating the list nor the map (although they already both included unixadm).

abcangie87 - I'm so jealous your kids are out. Our kids were suppose to be out but because of our snow/ice storm this year, they extended the school year to the end of the week.

mickeysgirl77 - safe journeys, have fun warming up that boat for us!

disneyfool_1202 - just breathe, it'll just give you more reason to buy clothes on board! it'll be all right, we'll be on board in 4 days....

sandyrella1010 - if you count yourself i have 46 cabins. if you take yourself out it's 45 cabins. (this includes unixadm & maxxumuser, but not olewnikpe)

man, i'm so ready. we are now down to the "last" bag and the "travel/car" bag. phew. everybody keep your chins up, we just a few more days! I had to use my h2o spa (dcl) sea marine bath products to relax and just imagine myself on the boat. I love those bath products, it just brings back so many good memories.
