Disney Dream- 3-10-2011 (3 night)

We will have extra FE gifts, so if any late comers want to do the exchange, we are happy to share with them.

Wow it is hard to believe that we are almost there. Question of the week dinner attire.

1. Who all is dressing up like a pirate? We are, I have to get on my DH to finish his shirt. We made our costumes.

2. How dressy do men get for dinner?

3. How dressy do women get for dinner?

This will be our first Disney Cruise. Any good suggestions. I have been reading other good ideas to bring. Any special we should be bringing. I saw that we should bring a "fish extender". What do you guys think? We can't wait.

Welcome aboard! I see that you wanted to participate in the FE. We had actually closed the FE on Feb 1. I do see that one dis member stated they had extra. If you would like to be included we will need to know your cabin number and the names and ages of the people in your cabin. I can't promise that you will receive from everyone. The complete list is on page 5 post number 74.

I am not able to send just you a message but I am interested in the FE. We have 3 kids age 3 and under.

Hi! I did notice that one dis member said that they have extra for late comers. If you still want to participate please post your cabin number along with the names and ages of those in your cabin. The complete list of those who are participating is located on page 5 post number 74. I can't promise that you will receive from everyone but some people sound like they have extra.

Thank so much for letting us participate. Our cabin number is 7554. There is a DH John; myself Jen, DS Shawn (10) and DD Katie (8). Would you also give me some ideas what people give to each other so that I have enough and the right things. Do we also give to the adults as well? Thanks so much for including us. I see that you live about an hour from me. Where in Lancaster do you live? We live on the other side of Reading.

Hi! Its a small world. We live about 10 minutes away from Dutch Wonderland and 15 minutes from the Fulton Opera House in Lancaster City. We were just in Reading this past weekend to see a Reading Royals game. That was second hockey game. We try to get to see the Reading Phillies at least one time a season. We are just minutes away from the Lancaster Barnstormer's stadium and I work there over the summer as one of my fun jobs. So that gives you an idea of where we are in relation to you. Which airport are you leaving from? We are leaving the night before out of Harrisburg and staying overnight at the airport Hyatt. I don't know if you have had an opportunity to review the entire cruise meet thread. We are using paint chip Mickey Mouse heads in Alien Green or Sonic as a group identifier. These you can get at Home depot. If you don't have time I will have extras along. The group is still waiting to hear from Nick on where and when we might meet as a group to get to know each other.

As far as the FE, it can really be anything you want. Some people are making things others might be getting disney trinkets or pirate themed trinkets from Michaels, AC moore, Oriental trading and the dollar store. Some people give candy, pencils, stickers etc. I hope that helps

Hi! If you have extra, we have an additional family joining the FE. I have contacted 1 other family that said they wanted to participate after we closed the FE, but have not heard back from them yet.

The new addition is
Jenbessey
stateroom 7554
Jen, John, Shawn (DS 10) and Katie (DD8)

the info is also posted on page 5 post 74.

Thanks so much. Any other hints/ideas that we could use on our trip?

Hello all.

We will be meeting at Waves!

After looking into meeting places for our meet up, I have came to the conclusion that the best place is going to be Waves. Waves is described as "Waves on the Disney Dream is a casual open-air bar located on Deck 12, Aft that provides a breezy, scenic vantage point where Guests can unwind with a refreshingly cold drink." It's Deck 12 Aft and designed for families in mind. There seems to be plenty of room to socialize and meet up.

Now the question will be what time we're meeting at. With the two sail away parties (2:45 and 4:30) and the drill in between, when is a good time to meet? I referenced THIS NAVIGATOR for the times. There is conflicting information on the front of the navigator vs the time table of the lifeboat drill.

Sail Away: 2:45-3:15p
Lifeboat Drill: 3:45-4:15ish?
Sail Away: 4:30-5:00p
Golden Mickey's: 5:00p, 7:00p, 9:00p
Dinner: 6:00p, 8:30p

I am thinking right after the safety drill, that way we can all enjoy the sail away party together as a group. Let me know what you think.

See you TWO weeks from TODAY! :thumbsup2
T-Minus: 14 days

Thanks,
Cordelia, Nick and Becky

Thank you for your work in finding a place, Nick. We all appreciate it.

However, at the risk of being a killjoy here, what if Mother Nature decides to pay a showery visit (please heaven forbid) on that day? Not to mention the wind that may come along with it as well. Hoping all will be perfect weather wise that day but you just never know

Might be wise to have an undercover back-up just in case or decide that as a first choice instead.

Again, many thanks for all your work.

I think you picked a great time and place. It will be lots of fun to do the sail away party as a group:banana:

Thank you so much for organizing this:thumbsup2

I did see Otimon's message regarding rain. Ugh. Everyone do the no rain dance! Seriously, she might be right. Would any of the indoor places work if it rains. If we have a back up plan, maybe it won't rain.

I am not sure if I have thanked.
Thank you so much for doing these maps and keeping them updated. It will make finding the cabins so much easier. If I don't talk to you before you leave, have a safe trip. Looking forward to meeting you and your family in 14 days.

Nick - We wil try to get to the meeting at Waves. Of course, I'm not sure I've told my DH yet - he might have been reading along! Thanks for coming up with a plan! It will be fun to put some live faces to these names!

Cathy - that map will be a godsend!!! Thank you for doing that.

I think we will be able to include our new FE family.
I really want to start packing!! Ha - there's a Disney cruiseline commercial on RIGHT NOW!!!
