Disney Dream- 3-10-2011 (3 night)

You will need to have Disney or your travel agent link your room reservation numbers. You can send Cordelia.Turpchinoff a PM with your reservation number. Disney will then put you together at one large table or multiple tables close to each other in the dining room.

You will need to have the same dining time for this to work. Since Cordelia is late everyone who wants to link with her needs to have late dining reservations.

You will need to coordinate this soon, it will be harder for your request to be granted if you wait since dining rotations are set weeks before the sail date.

I am so sorry that I didn't think of this earlier... and if Disney can't work something out for us, it's all good. It was just a thought that I had.:confused3
Disney hopefully will be able to link our reservations for us, but as stated, we will need to get working on this soon- so it will be more likely that Disney can work something out for us. :)

ONLY a little over 3 WEEKS left!! :cool1:

yay!!! just over 3 weeks left!
anyone else getting really excited?! whats the first thing everyone wants to go do once on the ship?

Yes, very, very, very excited!:cheer2: When I finally get on the ship, I think my head might spin off:rotfl2:. What we do first actually depend on what time we get on the ship. If it is before 1:00 then food. If it is close to 1:00 then the ship tour. Of course this is if they keep the times the same. Has anyone done the ship tours? Do we get to see the Bridge? Next up, stateroom to drop off carry ons. Depending on the line Aqua duck is next or just continue exploring til the sail away party.

Hi! I know that you can rebook on the ship and transfer the reservation to your own TA. Has anyone done this? Do I need to give Disney anything else besides the TA's business card to make this happen?

I've updated the map. Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&...EwZGQtYTY3NzFiNDg1MTQz&hl=en&authkey=CIPX6sAE

Counting down the days! :yay:

Cathy

That's really nice of you to do that Cathy! It will be really handy!

We are counting the days too! Three weeks from TODAY we'll be heading to the Port at this hour!!! :woohoo::banana::yay: I should probably start organizing and making my lists etc. It's hard because I have to do things when the kids aren't around so they don't find out!!!
I cannot wait to see their faces when we get to the port! If you hear screaming from two young ladies, that will be us!!

Hello All- I am traveling with my co-worker and her 2 sons, and they have decided to do another excursion in Nassau. I have 2 rooms booked at the Comfort Suites in order to get the wristbands for Atlantis.

Before I cancel her room reservation which is under my name I wanted to offer it to someone that may want to go to Atlantis the :banana:CHEAPER ROUTE:banana:. The room rate is $175 plus tax it came to $224. Because there are a total of 5 in our party according to Comfort Suites we had to book 2 rooms.

If there is someone that is a parent and child and would like to split the cost that is an option as well, but just know there cannot be 5 people in a room even though you don't plan on going to the room.

Please PM if you are interested.

Just found this thread!

We (husband, 8 yr old son, and I) are counting the days until our March 10 cruise on the Disney Dream! This is only our second Disney cruise (first was the Wonder, which we loved), but we are so excited about all the new touches on the Dream.

It doesn't even matter that we're going to miss Mardi Gras this year (Mardi Gras, Shmardi Gras- this is a Disney cruise we're talking about)!

:-)

Welcome! We are going out of our minds with excitement!!! Our trip is a surprise for our DDs and it's so hard! I can't wait for them to see the port and go crazy!!

This is a 2 part question.

1. Which adult venue are you most interested in seeing/trying?

2. How many adults wish they were kids, so they could try out all the cool kid areas?

I wish I was a kid. I would love to try out that cool floor. I want to try Pink. I want to feel like I am inside a champagne bottle.

I just love the shows. Later we usually go to the piano bar but haven't found out if there is one like on the classics. Looking forward to checking everything out. Can't wait to go all over the ship. This is the first time in an inside cabin too and I can't wait.:banana::banana:

1. Palo. We haven't been able to do it on our last two cruises, so this time for sure. I do want to see ALL the areas however. The Cove Cafe will be calling to me with a mocha!

2. Oh yeah! I'm going to take my girls there to check it out and see as much as I can the first day. Hope they like it since they will have to stay there a little. See #1.

Does anyone know how you rent the big toys such as the kayaks, water bikes etc at CC? Do you do it in advance? I am not finding anything listed on the DCL port activities. If you sign up at CC, do these things sell out fast?

When Cordelia and I were on our Honeymoon this past November on the 4-night Wonder cruise, we rented a water trike. You do not rent them in advance. It's first come, first serve for renting on the island. When we did the water trike, there was nobody else doing it. Were able to walk right up. But our cruise was not sold out, so it will be a different story come our cruise. The water trike was $15 for 30 minutes of padding fun.

How hard are the water trikes to do? We have done peddle boats in the past. Is it about the same? I would like to try them sometime. But right now, I am wanting to try a kayak. We haven't kayaked in years and I can't remember how hard it is on the shoulder joint. Since Disney has not listed much for 2012, I found an Alaska cruise that I am interested in. It is a very small ship (49 passengers) and every day is hours of kayaking if you choose to do it. I know that you and Cordelia are doing Alaska with Disney. I can't wait to hear what you think of your experiences off the ship. I am sure that the onboard stuff will be Disney standard and won't be any problems. For me it is all about the destination and I am anxiously waiting to see what people think of the excursions. I have looked them and there are lots of appealing ones.

The water trikes are not hard to do at all. The water trikes have big wheels on them, and they look like they would be hard to do, but their not. It's just as easy as peddling a paddle boat. Obviously it will be easier when two people are working together verses one. There is pretty large area that you are able to go to. It ranges from the Sting Ray Encounter over to where the dock is for the ship, where the POTC ship used to be. We stayed pretty close to the shore line most of the time. We could see sea life below us. We're not sure what it was but came to the conclusion they were small sting rays :confused3

This will be our first Disney Cruise. Any good suggestions. I have been reading other good ideas to bring. Any special we should be bringing. I saw that we should bring a "fish extender". What do you guys think? We can't wait.
