Disney dream 12/28/12 5 night

[Love to Cruise DCL]

We booked this cruise so long ago I almost forgot about it
I would love to get on the FE list and FB list pretty please.
This will be our 8th DCL cruise..we love them! This will be out 3rd New Years cruise...we are DVC and could not get on the 2011/2012 New Years cruise as there were no DVC points cabins available so here we are on this one

We (myself, DH, DD (16), DS (13))will be joining this cruise as well. We just signed up a week or so ago and can't wait. This will be our 5th cruise (6th for me!) but the first time on the Dream.

Did anyone happen to catch the show Cake Boss last week? They were on the Dream and the made a cake that was a replica of the ship. Made me want to hop on the ship tomorrow. Seven months is just too far away!!

Hello to all!
We are doing a B2B. The New year's portion will be the second sail. I am thrilled to be spending 4 of our 10 days at sea on CC.

Enjoying the Fantasy maiden voyage made my DH ready to consent to the B2B. (We had previously already booked the Christmas cruise). We have been on board for New Year's before and I can't wait to experience it again onboard the Dream.

I am looking forward to getting to know some of you and I believe there will be some old friends on board. (You know who you are).

VERY cool. We've done a lot of DCL trips, buit never a B2B...

Don't think I would want to get off for a long time if I did...

HOA would fuss at 4ft high grass in my front yard...

Joining on the thread - This will be our first cruise and we are so excited! We are doing a big family trip in memory of my mom. Hubby and I are big Disney fans and we'll have DD (18mo at time of sailing) but there are about 20 total family members coming! I can't wait and look forward to meeting some DISers

Pros: Aqua Duck, Mini Golf, space under the bed for suitcases, Enchanted Garden and Animator's Palate, interactive art game, she is Beautiful!
Cons: Cabins are smaller for same category, Upper deck layout is weird with plexi glass walls breaking up the deck, no outlet in the bathroom..must dry hair out in cabin, it is sooo big you must plan your timing to get somewhere as it takes a while to get there

Where do You live? Our grass slows down in the winter LOL
I'm almost more excited not to have to do all the cooking for the holidays as being on the ship. I will still bake a bizillion cookies though for the police and fire departments.

Overall Pros WAY outway the Cons!

Pros

New and better restaurants - buffet was a HUGE improvement, can't wait for Animators Palette upgrade on Magic and Wonder and Talking with Crush was cool

Mickey's Detective Agency game - interactive art was really cool and you get to run all over the ship!

AquaDuck of course - gotta try it at night


Cons

Adult pool was NOT an improvement, too small and you can't even do a mini-lap :-(

Awkward design and upper deck layout - elevators to the middle of the buffet restaurant and outside the spa is bad for crowd flow and results in a lot of kids running through in the adults section

Gym facing the side of the ship - maybe its just me but it made me sick to run and look at the ocean passing in front of me instead of facing forward!


The cons are mostly personal things that others may not notice or care about at all
