Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

How can they seriously not have someone on staff that knows these things? Yes, I know I would want to be closer to Arnold Palmer too. Thankfully you know like you do.

I am glad that he is on the mend. When I was reading earlier Scarlet Fever was my first thought. Feeling better if the best thing!!

There are so many meds out there, it's hard to keep straight what interacts with what and which disease conditions. I usually take a print out with me, but forgot it on Saturday.

But this is what we ran into each time we took JJ to the ER. The staff didn't do anything for him except give him fluids and monitor vitals because the seizure was over by the time he got there.

Boo got a rash like that once after starting and antibotic for strep. The doctor says sometimes that happens...but it was :scared1: and from then on he can't use the "real" pencillian.

I would want to move closer too to someplace that knows about seizures...:scared1:

That would be one transition that would be so hard on Anakin. He has stated many times he doesn't ever want to move. Grumpy would be fine, he has never attached himself to material things. But Anakin is emotionally attached to even gum wrappers and backs of stickers. It's difficult with for him to throw those things away. I'm not sure how he'd do walking away from the only house he's ever known that he is completely attached to.

I like number 2. It sticks with your general theme. Although, number three is cute and works well with your name.

2 makes sense. 3 was because of all the extra pixie dust that got sprinkled, but it does work well with my name!

happy he is feeling better hope the rash goes away quickly!!!

I like #6....anakin is "one" with the force!!!

The rash is practically gone! His throat still hurts though.

He sure is, lol!

My vote... either 2 or 6 :goodvibes

Can I vote for all of them... I like 2 & 6!

Maybe I can combine 2 and 6? The force is strong in this one: Star Wars Weekend Done Differently.

I like them combined. That sounds right.:goodvibes

I too like them combined!:thumbsup2
Combined it will be!

Do any of you know if the blushing orange shampoos and conditioners are the same Mickey ones they had before, but packaging was changed? Or is this a new scent too? I know I had posted about the grapefruit bergamot in the Tink bottles we got at CSR last time. I saw these along with the spa shampoos and conditioners and lotions too, at the gift shop at Art of Animation.

I was hoping to get that photopass cd today, but it didn't come. Anakin's school books did though. He was not too thrilled about this, but he did sit down and look at them. He liked the Tiger on his one books.

We started doing some spelling words this past week. Since it's summer I let him choose his words. He picked Star Wars words. Without him realizing he was "doing school" he circled all the special sounds in the words and marked the vowels.

He wants to know why ar in star sounds like or in morning in the word war? Are there any other words that have an ar sounding like or?

Out of curiosity I checked rhymes.net. The only other /ar/ words that rhyme with war are prewar, postwar, and antiwar. So good for him to pick up on that singular instance of /ar/ sounding like /or/.

There is also warship and Warsaw.

And lastly there are all the /oar/ words -- boar, hoar, oar, roar, soar, etc.

great idea using star war words...whatever it takes to make school fun for him!!

pwdebbie, thanks for looking! We will have to check out that site. He loves rhyming words and making up raps.

His choice of words were Star Wars, Sebulba, Watto, Asajj Ventress, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Sidious, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Ahsoka Tano.

I hope that Anakin is feeling lots better today. I know how frustrating it is when you get to the ER and they have no idea at all on how to handle an epilepsy patient. We've refused to leave the ER before because they wanted to send John home even though his levels were well below what they should be for him. We sat right there in the middle of the ER after they discharged him and wouldn't leave until they called in his neurologist. Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do.

I am so looking forward to seeing the Photopass pictures. If they are anything like the pic you posted on Facebook, they're going to be great!

Yes, we have to advocate for our loved ones!

Yes, they are just like that! Priceless expressions of pure adoration and joy for being there.

I'm late...but I vote for #6.

I like #6 too! Going to combine 6 and 2.

I don't know that we've ever gone to the MK in June? After getting the ok from the pediatrician yesterday morning that he was no longer contageous, we headed to the MK today. I thought I've seen it all, but I was NOT prepared for today.

Disney transportation was a nightmare!! Both heading to the MK and back to the TTC!

Dh insists that Disney has learned from the department of transportation to stagger traffic like they do on I-4.

No lie, it took us 45 minutes from the time we entered the monorail queue at the TTC to the time we arrived at the monorail station at the MK. It wasn't that the line was incredibly long, but that the trains just weren't moving. I never saw so many security bag check stations set up. Bag check went way fast. Walking down Main St. USA today was like walking down Main St. on Christmas day. A cm told me this is typical summer traffic. It was more crowded than DHS during SWW.

Anyway, we didn't stay long, one round of SMK and lunch at Columbia Harbour House.

Heading into the Columbia Harbour House, Anakin was so excited to see his favorite bell ringer. He is always so friendly. He welcomed us and in we went to order lunch. Anakin had a dole whip in his hand. The bell ringer commented that he always says eat dessert first so that you have room for it!

Dh and I are on diets. I started back up on WW after grimacing at the pictures of us that will be on the photopass. I weighed more during SWW than I ever did, even more than when pregnant with either child...YIKES!! Same with DH, but he was never pregnant ;)

WW has this great tool online for their cheat sheets. There is an interactive tool where you can build your own salad. Dh did good, he got the Garden Harvest Salad. It's mixed greens, garden vegetables, chicken, green beans, and carrots with an Italian dressing. I got the Broccoli Peppercorn Salad. It's mixed greens, peas, corn, sun flower seeds, chicken, broccoli, parmesan cheese and a creamy peppercorn dressing. He drank water, I got sweet tea. Needless to say I ate and drank way more points them him. He has been so strict with sticking to the diet, yet I've lost 4 pounds and he hasn't lost any yet. It burns him up.

As we were leaving looked for the bell ringer and couldn't find him. Heading out we found him around the corner of the building.

Bellringer: You come here often? Don't you?

All: Sure do.

Bellringer to Anakin: Did I ever sing to you?

All: No (giggling from Anakin)

Bellringer to Anakin: Which song do you like Zippity do dah or Wish upon a star.

Anakin (without hesitation): Wish upon a star

Bellringer: (starts serenading...do you see who's holding the bell?)

Anakin: That was awesome, you have a great voice.

Bellringer: (thanking him and says something to the effect that Anakin has a good life.)

Anakin (singing): I know I have a good life....

Bellringer: You could work with me, I think I found a friend to help me ring the bell and sing.

Anakin: (giggling)

Bellringer: God Bless you!

With that we leave, and Anakin was thrilled with the extra pixie dust.

The foot traffic coming into the MK was just as thick with guests arriving as it was when we arrived. We hopped into the shops to stay cool, although today wasn't very hot. None of us broke a sweat at all today!! Either temps were down or humidity was. Either way, it was perfect weather!!

Look what I spotted in a shop! It's so me!! What do you think?

Leaving the MK, the Express Monorail was closed. So we walked to the ferry. The ferry was closed, so we trekked back to the resort monorail. Crazy!!

That extra pixie dust was great. This is the type of person that should be a CM. He went out his way to make Anakin happy and that is what the magic is about. That purse is adorable. I keep thinking about getting a new purse when we go in November.

:scared1: wow sounds like crazy crowds ...:goodvibes :goodvibeswhat a great CM, sure Anakin was on :cloud9: being a part of the song and ringing the bell!

that is a perfect bag for you....maybe you need to put it on your list for :santa:

good job on losing the 4 pounds....skip the sweet tea and you'll drop even more!

The extra pixie dust just made his day!

Have you thought about which purse you're thinking of getting? They have so many great bags at Disney. Half of them I eliminate right away because they don't zip shut. I prefer a long strap for cross body wear as opposed to a short. (Must keep my hands free.)

well...it's not going to make my Christmas list...because I was an impulsive shopper after looking at the others and seeing that many had the Tinks barely visible.

That's great!!

I love this bag!! The thing is that I didn't see it in the parks when we were there.

Ooooh, yes, a Harveys bag. That's the exact bag that DMGuerts would have chosen for herself if between that bag and the Harveys I got in March. She liked the weaving. I saw 3 of those bags today at MK. Do you get a discount with your AP?

those are cute bags, but they are heavy and I'd hate to spend that kind of money and would worry about getting it dirty!

we do get discounts with DLR AP's :thumbsup2
speaking of AP's, since we are planning 3 trips -- DLR spring break 2013, WDW thanksgiving 2013 and DLR pres day weekend 2014, I'm planning on getting the Premium Pass, will help getting the resort, food and shopping discounts too!

If it just had Tinks on it, I'd be very interested if it wasn't green or purple. I rarely wear green or purple.

My Harveys bag did get dirty at the base. It does wipe clean, but not totally clean.

Will you get the Platinum pass thing that's good for both DLR and WDW?

Passes went up sky high in price in early June.

She has good taste!! Yes, we do!! So if I find it I may just come home with it!!

I didn't think about how heavy it would be. Dirty I don't really stress over I wouldn't be using it as everyday use.
