Seeing the picture of Anakin with his ice cream I decided that I am changing my antenna topper today.
Love it!!!

I love having different toppers to suit different moods. When I went last year I bought a bunch. I gave some to friends and family and kept the Mickey ice cream for myself. I did get a Monorail one that I wished I had kept for myself that I will be picking up again.
That's a great idea! I got a Christmas topper for my parents and a friend of theirs. I should see if there is anything new. It would be a nice surprise for my mom. She is really feeling the pressure of taking care of my dad after his strokes. She needs a another dose of magic.
I should send her some of the magic that Anakin got on Monday at the MK. But I am getting ahead of myself, as I haven't gotten to this Monday and all the wonderful magic that was sprinkled on us!!
Another thing I pick up are pens and pencils. It's something that my mom has always done and I started doing it to. Then if my kids have a friend they want to give something to or any of us does we have it.
I had a stroke in 2007 I know how hard that can be. My thoughts and prayers go to your parents.
Thank GOD we didn't get it!!! Musta stayed away from the parks for that day!! Unless this was the week we were there with Kim? I get sooooo turned around on days and visits sometime!! LOL
great photos of the parade....we missed it in April, but definately seeing it in Oct! I love it!
We stay away from pencils. Grumpy is allergic to latex. When we do get pencils we make sure they are from Moon, although Dixon now makes #2 pencils without latex erasers. It was difficult to find pencils when he was a little kid. So glad companies are seeing the increase in latex allergies and making erasers without!
I'm sorry to hear you had a stroke.
We joke with my dad that he is like a cat. There are so many times he should have been dead and by the grace of God he triumphed through it. The biggies being a brain aneurism in the 80's, too high levels of coumadin causing his brain to bleed in 2010, and the strokes that followed it. He is making great recovery and progress! His goal is to be able to ride his bike at my house in May 2012 and make it to Grumpy's graduation! My mom works hard with him on his therapy and recovery.
I am pleased that they finally are paying attention to the latex allergy too. It is about time.
Thank you. I still have a few problems with nerve pain associated with my stroke, but I have full range of motion back and that is what matters.
Your dad sounds amazing. When I was in rehab there were so many young people I was amazed. Strokes are another thing they really need to pay attention to.
Love the pictures from the parade. How great was that CM to go and get that for Anakin. That is the Disney magic at work.![]()
That's great you have full range of motion. Dad does too! His vision, speech, and cognition were slightly affected. He's come a long way in a year! He's a bit impulsive so no driving for him yet. Not sure how the bike riding will go, but he is doing killer on the stationary bike! He is 77 years young. He use to be able to out walk me, and biked many miles a day.
He was so thrilled with the Disney magic! I will keep it in my bag, so that when he feels the urge to take it off the ground he will have his own.
I was actually lucky with my stroke. I was affected with temporary being paralyzed on my right side. Mostly my shoulder, arm, and hand. I had to learn to walk again. I was scared to death about driving again. I waited over a year to try. I didn't have and vision, speech or cognition problems.
I think your dad is amazing, and I think he and my husband would get along famously. He lives for his bicycle.
