Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

I agree....I hate the green slime on the river there!!! Have you noticed that lake at DHS is no longer clean and blue either?? They let it go, which is a shame. Looks horrible now!!

Didn't notice the lake at DHS, don't think we walked by it.

Did you ever hear of the dinner mentioned above?

think the AK river is kept that way to look more real...but it is gross,
sorry Anakin got upset at Dinoland, hope he can ride on it soon.

when we were there in April Echo Lake looked okay.

maybe its a Grand Celebration thing???

Looks like Donald is strangling him. Didn't notice this before.

So many cast members commented about Goofy's shirt. It was a big hit! I bet there will sell lots of them! Speaking of big, hoping to be sporting shorter hair and a smaller body in October. This pic is certainly not flattering! But I love the family shots. Again, wish Grumpy was with us.

LOL Donald!!! Be careful, them characters will getcha!! LOL

No, haven't heard of that dinner before. Never even seen the sign, maybe it's something we can look into??!! Maybe it's a grand gathering thing, or something they were doing after hours.

Echo lake......that's what it is!! It's grimy and dirty now, used to be pretty and clear blue, and you could smell the chemicals, but now it's just yuk!!

LOVE the family photo.....I agree, you need your grumpy there!!! We got that shirt for Jon on our May trip, he wore it with pride!! LOL I see them everywhere now!!

Many of our lakes look like that in the morning, but by afternoon the muck clears. This was in the afternoon. It does look gross.

I don't think we will let him ride it. In the past he has always been too short. I think it would jar his head around too much?

It could be a Grand Celebration thing? I have no clue. I should have gone inside and asked someone.

Anakin said he didn't hurt him or notice.

We got it in July. I had seen it on someone's PTR and thought it was perfect!

You ALL look great; and I love the Goofy t-shirt (I think that is a great one for Andy!). I hope I can get Andy to do some family photos with the characters. :confused3

love the shirt too!
Donald can be trouble sometimes

We ducked into a store to cool off. We were asked to move. I was expecting to be told no food, but it was that they had to move stuff inside for the parade.

See where he is sitting? It took all my strength to keep him from hitting that pole with his head. He just doesn't have the strength in his neck muscles to keep his head from bobbing on those bumps. That was the first and last time he gets the end.

Any ideas on what this dinner is?

Safari Celebration Dinner
In this Grand Gathering Experience, guests gather in the exotic city of Harambe at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park for high adventure on the Kilimanjaro Safari.

Parties journey through the park's authentic African plains and across the sweeping, baobab-studded savanna, spotting giraffes, elephants and other wild African creatures with their own private guide.

Following this special safari, guests move to the Tusker House Restaurant where they meet their host who welcomes them to a delicious dinner consisting of chicken, vegetables, assorted Artesian breads and more.

During dinner, guests have the opportunity to get an up close animal experience with one of the Animal Programs Keepers, who arrive with a live animal and answer any questions that guests may have about the Kilimanjaro Safari or Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

As a special part of the celebration, the host introduces two very special residents of Disney's Animal Kingdom® who wanted to stop by, Terk and Timon! Guests have the opportunity to enjoy a meet-and-greet with these loveable Disney characters.

The Safari Celebration Dinner experience is available Sundays and Thursdays at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park at 5 p.m. (or park close), at a cost of $59.99 for guests ages 10 and older, and $19.99 for guests ages 3-9.
