Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

I'm sure the waiting is hard....get your answers and then you can move forward....I know how hard it was for my mom when she had breast cancer, but was caught early and she now a proud survivor 6 years out!

WOW!! Yea, my mom got hers early, she didn't have to have chemo, just radiation, still has both her "girls" and it has been 11 years I believe for her, my Aunt Donna just had hers 4 years ago. She had chemo, a double Masectomy, AND reconstruction done, and let me tell you, I will NOT go thru that reconstruction phase!! Take them OFF, I don't need them!! LOL This will be my 3rd round of cancer, different types in my life, first two were no big deal, cervical cancer, and skin cancer. Just take it off, burn the areas around the tumor, and it was done. This, well, this is a little scarier. I'm prepared to hear the worst, and hoping for the best. So, we'll see what happens friday if I don't hear sooner.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Kaoden!!! Means a bunch for me!!! I am truly blessed with a vast variety of friends, family, and those who don't even know me that is praying for me, and let me tell ya, it makes me feel really good, and loved. I know either way, I will be ok. I'm a fighter, and I'm stubborn!! LOL I won't let this get me down!!

Sorry Tink!!! Didn't mean to hijack your story!!! Please, we wanna hear MORE!!! :) You can tell I'm antsy, I'm a posting fool on here today!! Lord only knows the advice I've been given!!! People must think I'm a mad woman!! :lmao: Ah well. So, what happened on sunday???

mom had radiation for 6 weeks everyday and three lumpectomies (sp) before they got it all, it was ductual, so had a tough time finding it all, didn't spread, but still had to follow all the protical for the 5 years...has both girls, but one is a bit smaller....I don't think I'd want to go through the reconstruction either, heard that is pretty rough....

stay strong and keep the faith :goodvibes:hug:

Thank you. I wondered about that. There are so many more places to eat at WDW than there is at DLR.

I miss the People Mover in Disneyland. They took it out years ago, it was a nice ride to relax on. I love Anakin with the Princess's my son was like that when he was younger. Now that he is 15 he probably would love to go see them for another reason.:rolleyes1

It is so nice to sit and relax listening to the piano player. Last time I was there I got to see Alice, the Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum and the Queen of Hearts playing musical chairs at Coca Cola Corner while he was playing the piano it was a lot of fun.

That would be a riot to see them play musical chairs! My 17 year old had no interest in seeing the princesses!

Anakin looks very handsome with his new hair cut! and way to rock the confetti :cool1:

Thank you. He kept some of the confetti in a bag to save as a souvenEAR. He loves anything shiney and sparkly.

Yep, we got stuck in the horrible downpour!! Thank GOD for Kendra, who had internet on her phone, so we knew when it was clearing! We made a run for it to what we thought would be Great Movie Ride, and it was closed, so we went into the shops, and we were wet, and I was FREEEEEZIN!! That was after the texting back and forth!! We hopped to Epcot, let the guys see Capt EO, I saw it with Julie that Monday before for the first time, and thought it was cool. We were gonna see the movie in France, but i said NO! That's mine and your thing to do!! LOL Anakin and I did promise we'd do splash mtn together.....I guess I'll have to wait, or maybe I can convince him......what do you think? LOL

You don't have to hold off on France on our account. I'm sure we will get there eventually with you!

Oh, I forgot to mention too, after the storm passed that afternoon, the weather was PERFECT!! It was sunny, NOT hot, and breezy, it felt like late October!! Georgous! After we dried I was a little better, but I freeze easily LOL We all got in my car, and I gave everyone napkins!! I think Kendra was thankful! LOL

Yes, we froze while swimming, and especially during the movie.

You are going through a very trying time in your life. I'm keeping you in my prayers and thoughts. Whatever the outcome, you know you are not alone. We'll get you some good Disney therapy! I hope you hear soon. The waiting game is not a fun one!! Just try to keep the what ifs from surfacing, they'll bring you down real quick. Take it moment by moment if you have to.

On an interesting note. I just discovered tonight that there is a Disney related Epilepsy Clinic in Orlando and Cortical Dysplasia is one of their specialties. Going to see what Anakin's neuro thinks about this when we see him Sept 12th.

sounds like it would be a fun place for the kids for their treatments, let us know what you find out!

forgot to ask you, Megan wants to get a special pin for Anakin to "trade" with him.....what is something he doesn't have yet?

This is what I found on the Epilepsy Center. http://epilepsyu.com/blog/florida-h...ndo-announces-new-pediatric-epilepsy-program/ I love Baloo in the backround with the docs pics!

It's so hard to say what he would have or not have by October. When we go into Pin Traders at DTD, he wants that one, and that one, and that one, etc. He has an incredible eye for pins and can spot ones he is looking for many feet away on lanyards. He is very sentimental, so anything that Megan would give him would be very special and go in his keeper book!!

Here's the part that Mamabarrio is looking for: Jedi Training Academy

We got to the gate at DHS at 8:50 and they had already dropped the rope. It was not an EMH to my knowledge. We told Anakin that there would be no pin trading or stopping until after we registered him for Jedi Training. I picked up a Times Guide and saw there were plenty of shows listed for this.

It appeared that everyone in front of us was heading to TSM. But I guess we were wrong. Plenty had already headed to the registration before us. We arrived at Sounds Dangerous at 9:05am. There were probably 100 kids ahead of us already. But not every child in line was getting registered. Many were there with siblings who were participating instead.

Occasionally they would announce that the children registering must be present.

Strollers are not permitted in the building and must be parked outside unless they have the stroller as wheelchair designation.

Here he is waiting patiently.

Once we got up to register him, they were at the end of the 11:45 time slot. I gave his information, then they asked him some questions. Would he be safe on the stage? Would he follow directions? Is he afraid of Darth Vader?

He answered yes to all three questions. The cm took me aside and asked if he knew he would be facing Darth Vader. I assured her he was being honest that he is afraid of Darth Vader, but that he would be fine. He had done this back when he was 4 years old and loved it!!

We were given a ticket with a return time of 11:15 am. I texted Grumpy to meet us at 11 at Sounds Dangerous.

Best not a Halloween one. Grumpy has strong convictions against Halloween so we don't celebrate it in our house. We removed all our Halloween stuff years ago. Goofy and I do not hold the same convictions and we do take Anakin to DTD trick or treating and to Sea World's Halloween Spooktacular.

Oh boy Jedi training!! I can hardly wait to see it.

I found some pics from when he did Jedi Training when he was 4 years old! It will be fun to compare! Can't wait to finish editing the photopass ones, they go so good!

I think HPPA laws state they have to tell you in person not over the phone, but depends on the doc. You could always call and see if the results are in yet.

Pics to come, they still need to be downloaded to photobucket. Can't wait t be able to use the photopass pics, they turned out great!!

Oh those are great. He is such a cutie!! How fun for him!!

ok, no Halloween pins....we will find something awesome!

he sure has grown up since 2008! he makes a cute jedi!

Thanks Kathy!!! It's been a rough couple of weeks!! But, hopefully I'll know for sure soon, and it'll all be over.

Congrats to you!!!, This type of cancer is very survivable, as long as you go to the regular screenings and such. So either way, I know I'll be alright. It's just the not knowing yet, is scary. I can't wait to finally meet you when you come down this way!!! I do love following your older pictures.

LOVE the 4 yr old pictures!!! I love looking at older pictures, until it makes me realize how much older I am!! LOL

the past 2 times I had cancer, they told me in person. The last time, last year with the melanoma, it took 3 weeks, and then I went in the dr's office after work, and said I wasn't leaving until I know....well, I found out!! As soon as they said the dr wants to talk to you, I knew. Which is why I figured I'd be patient until tomorrow morning, and see what she says. Knowing my dr, she'll want to look at me, make sure it's healing and such. She's very good, I really like her.

OMGosh...now do we make the TSM dash or the Jedi training dash?! :scared1: I wonder if I can convince my DH to go one way and get FP for TSM while I take the boys the other way to get signed up....

Do they issue a "fast pass" thing to come back for training...or do you have to wait their until your time?

Is "Sounds Dangerous" gone as an attraction? It was not high on our list of things to do...

I  the pictures of Anakin...the princess pictures are precious and the Jedi training was priceless!

Thank goodness!! I can't even begin to imagine what you went through. I was bringing meals to the family of a single mom from church, after her chemo days. She is so brave and didn't have any family nearby. I learned alot from her strength and determination.

I'm here for you if you need to text or talk. Hopefully we will be celebrating good news on Saturday!!
