I figured out how to get the pics to photobucket, then from my laptop to get the pics to here.
One day this week, we went to the PM for lunch then to AK to walk around. Please keep in mind that Anakin was going stir crazy and needed out of the house, but was still feeling a bit under the weather. We used the medical stroller to transport him around AK. We didn't stay long, but had an awesome time in the short time we were there. We had lots of great CM interaction. It's amazing how different your day can be when you actually stop and smell the roses, not something we usually do.
We arrived at the Pepper Market just before closing. I asked if the food "disappears" right at 2pm. I was told no, it stays out a bit longer. We were seated and waited for our server. After waiting a bit longer the guys decided to get their food while I waited.
No server acknowledged our presence, so I saw Vania who waited on us in the past. She said she would come and take care of us. She took our drink order and asked Anakin's age. While she was getting the drinks, I went up and got my food. Since I didn't know how much time I had, I made a couple trips between the table and the food stations.
Anakin's food: (look Kaoden, no chicken! lol)
He had chocolate surprise for dessert. Have you ever seen Agent Cody Banks 2? The "chef" brings out chocolate surprise for the kids. So Anakin went up there and asked for chocolate surprise. The first time, it took the cm by surprised. Now she is use to us. She dished out chocolate icecream, M&M's, chocolate chips, and I'm not sure what else was in there, or how I missed taking a picture of it?
Goofy's:
Chicken quesadilla, loaded mashed potatoes topped with corn (his doing), banana muffin, chocolate chip cookie, and both kinds of pasta.
He also had strawberry shortcake for dessert
Mine:
Chicken quesadilla, guacamole (my favorite), mixed vegies, and oven roasted potatoes
Cream of chicken soup
After lunch we headed over to the Animal Kingdom.
Anakin wanted to ride Triceratop Spin. I was concerned about going in circles. But Goofy felt it would be fine for him.
They now have numbers on the ground. When you say how many is in your party, they tell you to stand on a number. The number obviously coresponds to a number on a dino.
Our next stop was to see the Tigers on the MJT. Along the way, we stopped at what we thought were monkeys. But the CM corrected us and told us they are apes.
Brought us to the old Veggie Tale song..."If it does have a tail it's a monkey, if it doesn't have a tail it's an ape."
We were told this was a family of apes and that they all had the same family cry that associates them to their family. In the wild, each family has their own cry. She told how to save these apes by buying shade coffee.
Next up the tigers. There were 3 tigers out, but they didn't cooperate for pictures.
The Elkdeer did though.
There was a cm at the Elkdeer who explained to Anakin about the antlers and how they shed them. They let him touch an old one. He said it felt like plastic. The cm told him it's made of the same material as our fingernails.
Next cm had a paw print. She explained to Anakin how to tell the difference between a male and female tiger. One is oval shaped the other round.
Next stop was a pin trading board outside of Kali River Rapids which is closed for refurbishment.
Our final destination of the day was Kilamanjaro Safari. Tons of animals were out!
On the way out of the park we stopped and watched the otters play.
