Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

Everyone seemed to be at DHS yesterday. We got there around 6pm, and left around 8 before the big thunderstorm got there. We had to drive thru it on the way home.

If you want to meet us at Epcot tomorrow after the class, I'll pm you my cell # so you can see where we're at when you get there!! We've done that with many people before!! Then I can explain 'why' I need to walk a little better in person :)

I think DHS had early entry and MK had late EMH? So I figured the 2 of those would be crowded.

We left TL around 8 and just missed the storms.

His class ends at 10, we wouldn't get to Epcot until around 11. Are you going to be power walking or leisurely walking? Anakin has low endurance for walking and I'll have to push him in his stroller, which he is now too big for, but I don't feel like forking out the $899 for the medical stroller until he can't squeeze into his baby stroller. Although I did see a Maclaren Major for under $500 recently, but that doesn't have a sun shade or basket.

He gets seizures from the heat, so we will have to duck into the air conditioning frequently. Would that mess with your walking plans?

Leasurly walking. I can't power walk at all. Yea, we'll be ducking in and out of stores, and rides and such, it's not a hurry up and go go go all day. My speed is one speed only, that's SLOW!! LOL I'll explain more tomorrow I promise!! If your son needs a wheelchair, I have a manual one, it doesn't have a sunshade or anything, it's always in the back of my car if need be. I park in the blue section, so the car won't be too far from the entrance!!

We had a late start yesterday. Arrived at Epcot well after 2pm. En route to Epcot I made an ADR for the Biergarten for 3:05 pm. Anakin's GAC had run out so we went to guest services to get his updated. Juli took great care of us at Guest Services!

We arrived at Biergarten at 3:04. There was nobody in line for check-in. We were seated right away with a family who primarily spoke Spanish, the kids spoke English.

Everything was great, except the chicken spatzle. It was tough like shoe leather. I ate a bite or two and left it sit. The show was a bit different from last week. Anakin did not want to dance this time. I was A-OK with that!!

Remember last week, we had to beg for straws? Well this time that sure wasn't an issue!

The only food picture I took was this one. Instead of the blueberry cake, it was strawberry. It was a very soft, and moist dessert. It had the texture more of a thick custard than a cake texture.

I asked our Spanish speaking tablemates where they were from. Of all the places in the world to be from, they lived less than 5 minutes away from us!! They moved here recently from Cuba. Are huge Disney fans, AP holders, and go to WDW any time they have a day off from work. I told them about Tables in Wonderland, and they were thrilled to learn about it and were going to purchase it before they went home.

The show was a bit different. 2 bell ringers this time, 1 "big horn" player, and 1 trumpet player in the balcony.

After pin trading a bit after lunch, we headed to TL. Again, an empty park!!

Stopped to rent a locker. We never leave anything of value out of the locker at a water park. A few years ago at Hershey Park, we were at the water park area and my friend's bag was stolen. Inside was all her money and the keys to the car. It's not worth the change to take, so we now get a locker.

2 hours before the park closes they offer discounted lockers. You have to know about this, because it's not advertised. So I asked for a small discounted locker and the total was $6!

We headed to our favorite spot at TL, near the wading pool at Crush and Gusher. We can almost always find seating here! This day, we found LOTS of seating!!

Got a question. Was this someone who was going surfing at the end of the day. Or do they bring and take away the surf boards from TL? We couldn't help but notice this stretch hummer blocking part of SSR's bus stop.

that's weird to have an itty bitty trailer being pulled by a HUGE hummer!! LOL Not sure what they were doing, but it is interesting!!! I think next year we'll do the premium passes, I like the waterparks, but can't do the rides, but that little pool will do me good!

Luvin your treat pics.. Wonder how many I can take home :lmao: Also luv the new Tink Balloon!!! I didn't read what your wrote before I saw the pic and straight away went OMG NEW BALLOON WHEEE!! :lmao::lmao:

I cannot believe how empty Biergarten was (and the entertainers are completely different ones that we had when we went last September).

Also, cannot believe how empty Typhoon Lagoon is. We've not been to a water park since 2004 (Mark and I aren't in to them, but we wen tiwth Andy an dhis then girlfriend the last time he went with us).

Lol, there is alot of reading. You have great will power if you can get those treats all the way over the pond!

I love the Tink balloon too! Believe it or not, I didn't spot it. Goofy did. I think when we stay in August I just might have to get one!

That trailer had at least 4 surf boards in there. They were protected with covers too, because I watched the one person unzip a surf board. If they were going surfing after hours, then they probably got rained out.

We love having premium annuals! Way back when, we use to eat at Disney Quest's cheesecake factory express every other Thursday. They had the best burgers back then!! We stopped eating there once cheese cake factory express left and Disney took over the food. We stopped playing the games last summer when Anakin started with the seizures. He is photosensitive.

I can't even remember the last time I went on a waterslide. We spend our time mostly at TL at the wading pool, lazy river or wave pool. At BB, it's the wave pool, lazy river, the small swimming area at the ski patrol, or the wading area at the kiddie area. Our biggest challenge at the water parks is finding enough shade.

Some of the entertainers were different even from last week!

Goofy and I kept asking ourselves is it really July? TP had overall crowd levels as a 9. We would have ranked Epcot as a 3 and TL as a 1.

Yesterday we went to DHS. It was packed. I would have ranked it as a 9.5!! And I think it must have been rude day. I was pushed and shoved more in one day than all year. I LOVE my PERSONAL SPACE, and way to many people were invading it yesterday!!

We got to ride Star Tours for the first time!! We loved it!! We were surveyed after the second ride. Anakin was dressed in Star Wars attire. There were a zillion Brazillian teen tourists. They were all so well behaved. They all loved Anakin's costume. Some girls asked him to pose for a picture with them. He was too shy (which is very unusual for him) to pose for pics.

Today's agenda, swimming lessons then a DIS meet at Epcot. He is sleeping now, and I am noticing small seizures. So we will play it by ear today and see how he feels, if he is post ichtal we will have to skip both. Prior to today, he went 6 days without seizures though!!

:thumbsup2 Love the photos and good one of Mr. Murphy. :cool1: Very neat.

Great food photos and your family is so cute. :goodvibes

It looks great! As for the treats it shouldn't be a bother getting them home we don't really eat many treats when we're there as we're always to hot to eat and up until I joined Dis we didn'y know most of them existed. We are having an ice-cream cookie sandwich though no question! :lmao:

Thanks!

As soon as he woke up, they stopped. His neuro said to ignore the small ones. He has had a great day today!

Another treat with a twist are the churros at La Cantina. They are served with a sauce!

Bouncycat, it was great to meet you and your son yesterday, and the other Central Florida DISboarders!

Thanks Tink!! We must do it again soon!! Anakin is adorable!! It's always fun to meet up with the girls for a little fun, rides, lunch, etc. We did succeed in our mission yesterday, so no worries there!! :)

Update on Anakin. Since he has been having so many seizures this summer he is going for an MRI on Aug 4th to see if anything has changed. The neurologist is optomistic that everything should be the same as before. He said the type of seizures he is having should scarcely affect the brain. Hoping that's the case!
