Yes, you can pay with disney dollars at all the restaurants and shops on property. We have definitely used them at Ohanas last trip. We buy disney dollars every week and use them for all the food on our trip and some shopping too.

I made my parents reservations at Ohana's so they could have an evening to themselves on our trip. I thought it would be cuter to give them Disney Dollars to pay for it, rather than just plain money!

I want to know this too. I was going to just ask family members for disney dollars for xmas to use on my jan trip but it would be easier for most of them to order them online.

I am a former Disney Store cast member and as far as I know Disney Dollars are not available for sale online.

Ugh,that's so stupid. What kind of denominations do they come in? 1,5,10,20 etc or how does it work?

At WDW, you can buy them at any guest service location in the parks or Downtown Disney. They come in denominations of 1, 5, 10, and one or two higher ones but not sure which value since I have never bought those. You can buy up to 50 dollars on a credit card and I presume it is almost unlimited if you use cash. They also seem to have limited supplies at some places so this will also limit how much and what values you can buy.

and tried to order from Disney over the phone. The cast member said they can't take orders over the phone but I can write them and get them that way. You can get $650 at a time. Denominations are $1,$5,$10. You can tell them specifically what you want or ask for a mixture. There is a $10 charge for shipping but they send them Fed Ex. She said the turn around time is less than a week. Send either a check or money order, if you want to use a CC then put that on the note and they will call you to get the info over the phone. DON'T put the CC info with the request.

Disney Dollars is all I'll be asking for for christmas this year!!


When I was saving up for the college program back when I was 19, after every paycheck I got at my job, I'd immediately cash it and take 20% to the disneystore and get disneydollars. I had about $1,200 to take with me. I was very proud of myself for saving that much!

I did the same thing. Every week I would buy some till I got the 200.00 I wanted. It was a easy way to save and I think they will make spending money a little more fun!

Tomorrow I get to start using them! I am so flippin excitied!

Now I must go finish packing!
