Disney dollars

My kids are getting some Disney dollars from their grandmother before our trip next month. We are spending a week on the Magic and then we're going to spend four days at the parks. Can they use the Disney dollars in the shops on the ship or do you have to use your room charge? I've been on other cruise ships where they don't take any cash on board. They can always wait to use the Disney dollars when we get to the parks, if necessary, but I was wondering whether they can use them on the ship as well. Thanks for the info.

You will have to use the Disney Dollars at the park since the cruise ship shops can't take cash/checks/credit cards or Disney Dollars. You can apply them to your ship charge balance but thats not much fun!

That's what I thought. The kids will just have to hold onto their money till we get to the parks. Thanks.

You can have it go towards ship credit so they can buy arcade cards or smoothies and such as well. Have a fun trip!

No cash or Disney dollars can be used at CC. Everything goes on your KTTW card.
