Disney Dollars

Hi,

My wife , my daughter and I will be visiting WDW in April from the UK.

During planning we read about Disney Dollars and thought they were a great idea. Because they are difficult to get hold of in the UK I have 'made' some facsimiles (which haven't come out out too bad). The plan I have been following goes like this:

- DD is collecting the Facsimilie Disney Dollars in the lead up to our vacation for doing chores etc.
- When we get to the parks we will have a count up and buy the same amount real Disney Dollars

The thing is - I have read that Disney are phasing out Disney Dollars and we are worried we will not be able to buy them when we get to the WDW.

Does anybody know if we will be OK to get them at the parks as we have planned.

I wouldn't worry about the Disney Dollars phasing out anytime soon....they just released a new Pirates of the Carribbean Dollar about a month ago (Oct 2011) & I have spoken to several people from Disney & it sounds like they are not phasing these out at all. In fact, it's about time that they release new dollars. You can get the Disney Dollars at Guest Services outside of the park or inside of the park at different locations. You should be fine.
