Here's a little more friendly and helpful answer:

Disney dollars are equivalent to U.S. dollars in face value.

They can be used at just about any venue in Disney, except maybe some of the places that are not Disney owned, like the store in Japan. (Not 100% sure of that though.).

They are kind of just a fun way to save or spend, especially for kids. Instead of a president on the bill, there is Mickey or Donald, etc.

No sort of savings or value over a real dollar to them, just fun :)

I have about $300 to spend on the next trip that I received from various survey sites.

what survey sites do you do? because I have tried a bunch of them And it seems like you have to spend money to actually get any points.? And thank you for answering my question about disney dollars, I know my little princess would love to have some with minnie on them. ill deff be looking into them.

I've seen on a couple of boards that the Disney Dollars may be discontinued in favor of the Disney Gift Cards. I know a lot of the Disney Stores are no longer stocking them, and either are some of the reward sites.

Just an FYI....

I do Sunshine Rewards and Simple GPT. I sometimes spend money, but only if I was going to order something anyway. Like when I buy flea meds, I go through SR to get money back.

Other than that I just get money by taking surveys and doing freebie offers.

Both SR and Simple have really great forums that give you detailed instructions on how to get started, here are a few just as an idea:

Make sure your computer is set up to accept all cookies & 3rd party cookies.

You will want to get a few new email addresses from gmail, hotmail, yahoo, gmx, or other free email you like. The freebie offers will generally get a lot of spam. You are basically selling them your contact info in exchange for you reviewing the offers. Alot of these have buy something at the end...Silver/Gold/Platinum (example, sign up of Video Professor). You do not have to sign up or pay for anything at the end of these to get your $0.50 or whatever the initial offer was. You may have to click the link to look at it, but not purchase.

Your best bet starting out is daily clicks at SimpleGPT. You click a link, review the info, submit, get paid. Only 3 to 5 cents each, but around $50 per month for super simple stuff, you don't have to enter any forms or name/email etc.

Then try daily surveys at Sunshine Rewards. I've found so far that they pay the highest and have a great system to report wonky surveys so alot of time if it is their fault (the survey, not SR) you may still get paid later in the month. Not guaranteed but at least you can report.

There are 3 there: Daily Survey through Greenfield; GiveUsYour2Cents, also through Greenfield; AmP Daily Survey. Read the rules on the SR forum for these. Generally, whoever takes the daily should always take it, and same for 2cents. (That is, don't go switching demographics and emails to try to "get" a survey.)

Then there is money back from shopping online at SR too. But best to stick to only if you were going to buy it anyway, otherwise kind of defeats the purpose!

As pp stated, not sure how long Disney Dollars will be around, SR no longer has them. I have been saving mine for about 2.5 years now...but surveys are paying for almost my entire trip!

Just be sure to only do one thing at one place. If you do surveys at SR, don't do them at GPT...if you do a freebie at GPT, don't do it anywhere else, etc. General rule is 2 greenfield and 2 Amp per house per day. As many freebies as you can get, but best to stick around 5 per day so your info doesn't flood the advertiser database, then things will stop crediting for you.

I kind of bounced all over in that mess up there, I hope it made a little sense! Again, check out the forums, they are really nice at both places.

I spent disney dollars I earned on my Disney Visa card on merchandise at the online Disney shoping website. (I love adding to my Disney dvd library.)
