Disney Dollars

Didn't know where to post this, so here it is.

What's the deal with Disney Dollars? Are they like a gift card or actual "dollars"? Where would one order them? Are they redeemable everywhere on Disney property, i.e. restaurants, snack carts, shops...?

They are kind of like gift certificates... you can purchase them at the Disney Store... I hear there's a place to fax your order to...

You can use them at DL or WDW at shops, food, etc. and I believe at disney stores too...

Yes, they are just like real dollars, but only work at DL or WDW (anywhere on site) and in the Disney Store. They are very cute and our children love them! We have been paying with Disney Dollars lately, to force them to save for our trip.

I always give my kids disney dollars for different holidays like b-days, Christmas, etc. They love getting them and it covers their shopping in WDW.

No, they do not expire.

They don't expire, they are cute to look at and may be easier to save for Disney because they look like "play" money, even though you know they were paid for with real cash! Cute stocking stuffer for a Disney-fied family member.
