Disney Dollars

Can someone help me to understand Disney Dollars? What are they? How can I get them? How do they work? Do all parks honor them, as well as Downtown Disney? Thanks so much for your help!

You can "purchase" Disney Dollars at any Disney Store. They are the same as money, and can be used EVERYWHERE at any Disney Theme Park and at Disney Stores everywhere.

I like to get Disney Dollars (instead of keeping regular money laying around) because it forces me to save it for WDW!!!! I know I won't spend it elsewhere.

1'2 5's and 10's with Mickey, minnie,goofy or stitch on them.

Do you purchase them dollar for dollar or is there an additional charge? For instance, does a $1.00 cost you $1.10 after the "surcharge" is added? Thanks!

They are dollar for dollar. No surcharge on them!

The Easter Bunny hid single Disney dollar in some of my kids' Easter eggs. They were pretty excited!!!!

It's dollar for dollar, no surcharges or tax.

The Easter Bunny had left some for the kids in little carrot shaped containers. Now they are interested in earning more before our next trip! They keep better track of spending Disney Dollars than real cash!!
