Disney dollars or gift cards online?

Hello all!

I don't know if Disney Dollars still exist or if you get them online , at the airport (Earport) or the parks. Does anyone know? Can you order Disney Gift cards online? Thanks for any tips!

You can order GC online at the Disney Store. I have also gotten them at Walgreens.

We went in May '11 and got Disney gift cards at Sam's Club and for every $100 gift card you bought you also got an additional $10 per card to use at the Disney Store . . so we ended up paying for our whole trip in gift cards (including hotel) and got $160 in free money to spend at the Disney Store online which sells some things that you can get in the parks. And to make it better at Sam's the $100 gc are only $98 per card so we made $2 a card

I buy mine at Giant Eagle. I get free gas for buying them there. For every $50 spent on cards, I get $ .10 off a gallon of gas up to 30 gallons. Sometimes they run specials where the fuelperks doubles. We had free gas for months from paying for our trip with gift cards. B/c we can get up to 30 gallons we will fill one vehicle, take cans with us, fill those, then put that into the other vehicle. We really don't like paying for gas and do our best to never have to.

I don't mean to step in on this thread but I have been trying to find a way to buy each of my 3 kids a gift card to use as spending money while we are there. However, we live in Ontario and can not get the cards at our Disney Stores or online without being hit with fees. Any suggestions??

I ordered disney dollars from Disney over the phone. The only problem is they charge you $15 for shipping because they ship them fed ex overnight, since they are like cash. You can also get them right at the parks. I think they are much more fun than gift cards especially for kids. We leave in 6 days, so I am encouraging my 6 year old to earn them by doing good deeds and cleaning up. They come in 1,5,10,and $20 denominations. Not sure about 50+.

This year its a $75 card (forgot to look at the price) with one of a dozen vinylmation pins. No extra $10 card.

OOOOHHHH!!!! I am so glad you told us about this. I had thought of a great idea for if we decide to drive down to keep the kids from killing each other, and it would work so much better if we used Disney Dollars! I wanted to start each kid out with say $20 in Mickey Money. Whenever someone causes a problem with someone else, they will have to give that person some of their Mickey Money. I think it will work out well b/c they won't want to give their money to someone else, and most certainly not to the person they are irritated with! I had to think of something b/c it will be 5 kids smashed in a van for 16 hours. I really want the kids to arrive with all limbs intact, so I thought they better have an incentive to not tear each other apart. I don't care how much you love your family, 16 hours in a small space is a lot to take! We are hoping to fly though. Again, thanx! I am glad for the info!
