Disney Dj Question????'s

I'M GETTING MARRIED FEB3,2008 AT WP. MY RECEPTION IS AT ITALY ISOLA AT 9PM FOR ILLUMINATIONS. MY PLANNER HAS SAID THAT THERE IS A TIME DELAY FOR THE DJ TO START BEACAUSE THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE EPCOT TO CLEAR OUT. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THEIR RECEPTION IN EPCOT AND IF SO HOW LONG DID YOU HAVE TO WAIT?

MY OTHER QUESTION IS WHO DID YOU HAVE FOR A DJ THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND? OR NOT RECOMMEND? I HAE NOT BEEN TOLD WHO I'M GETTING FOR A DJ YET SO I WAS HOPING IF I HAD A SUGGESTION MAYBE I COULD REQUEST ONE. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Wow that sounds like it will be a gorgeous party atmosphere. How many people are you having? Are you having a buffet dinner? Please post tons of pics for us to see....

THANK YOU! I am having about 50 people, we are not doing a "dinner" since it is so late we figure most people have ate, instead we are doing a cocktail party, a full bar, with 4 appetizers set up buffet style then we are also having mickey shaped mac and cheese served in martini glasses! then the cake (almond w/ baileys filling )! I am gonna do a journal w/ picts just getting started on these boards and loving it so far!

okback to the question- i had dj frankie c and he was fantastic.he made everyone so involved and i lovedhis song choices. i did not hadmy wed at epcotbut i would defniatly recomend dj frankie

I just wanted to second the question about DJ recommendations. We are really picky about music and would like the music to range from current hits, to oldies, eighties...just about everything. the reception is being themed like a club with modern decor. Thanks!

We had Chuck Johnson who we loved. He played classics during dinner (Frank sinatra, Dean Martin, etc) and then mostly 80's during dancing (per our request) He was great at playing what we wanted and stuff we didn't even know we wanted and he got people out on the floor without being over the top and annoying.

We had DJ Chuck Johnson too and loved him. I did give my planner 3 DJ requests going by recommendations on the Disneymooners. I didn't want to leave such an integral part of the reception up to chance! I also gave him a play list which he stuck to. In hindsight - I actually wish I had given him a little more leeway with the music because the younger people (under 50 - most of our wedding guests) were dancing and the older people didn't get up too much because we put alot of newer music on the playlist. I think he would have done a good job reading the crowd. Just my 2 cents for what they are worth
