Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

Can someone please tell me how soon before your trip are you able to book the BOG fastpass.

We will be there the end of October and I tried booking one for the 28th and it said all fastpasses were taken. When I tried for the 31st, it didn't even show up as an option.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!!!

Generally, 28 days in advance. You can find much more information here:

I was able to 27 days in advance.

Ohhh...I'm thinking since I am further away from my trip than the 27 days, this is why I am unable to book. For sure I will mark my calendar for when my timeframe opens up!!!

Thanks for all the help everyone!

Use the res number from your Disney Magical Express luggage tags. (Starts with a 4 and is 12 digits) Its at the top by the crease. Worked for me... good luck!

Thanks! I also logged back into UK Expedia and the 12 digit number was there. I hadn't logged in since February when I booked, and it wasn't there before but it is now. It matches the number you mentioned on the ME tags.

Thanks to the great tips on this thread, I booked an amazing rate at Beach Club water view (as it was the only view available) for our upcoming stay at the end of this month. :cool1:

I had some difficulties initially getting my Disney confirmation number from Expedia, but after several communications with Expedia, eventually received it.

Has anyone who has booked through this site had any luck making room requests with Disney? Given my initial difficulty with Expedia, I am loathe to call them back to request Expedia’s assistance in adding a room view/location request. However, when I called Disney directly, they just told me that, because I had booked through Expedia, they couldn’t do anything for me (and, I do know this is their policy with travel agents in general, so I wasn’t surprised by the response).

I am thrilled with the rate, so even if we don’t get a great room, I won’t mind. However, if there is something else we can do to add a room request, I would like to try as I know that the Beach Club includes a view of the quiet pool as a “water view” which I'd rather avoid.

Thanks.

When you do online check in you can make a request.

That's probably my best bet. I was hesitating about doing online check-in as I wasn't sure if there were any disadvantages. But, if it is the only option to make a request, I'll probably just do that.

Thanks for your response!

When we stayed at Pop with an Expedia UK rate, I called the number listed online for Pop Century (which isn't actually a number for the resort but they did answer the phone "Pop Century, may I help you), and requested a king bed, which we received.

Cool, thanks! I just found a number online for the BC, so I'll try that too.

Anyone know when 2015 rates might be released?

Hi and as you might well have noticed Expedia UK now have listings for dates in 2015 and up to a check-in date of 2nd October, I've done a quick scan and currently there's no real discounts. So you might need to wait until January which was when the offer started for this year, so here's hoping for a return of those room only discounts, hope you all had a fun Halloween.......

Just back from a GREAT vacation. Thank you OP for bringing this amazing deal to us!!! If anyone is interested, I made a short (less than 1 minute) video of my DD and my trip.

For those of you with upcoming vacations... we had no issues with our reservation.

Hi and so happy to read you had a GREAT vacation and especially with no issues and what a fun video, short, great editing and loved the credits, had to pause so to read them all.

Many thanks.....

I've been watching my dates (end of October) on this website... they are starting to jump around. Last night room rates for ASSp were $85 per night and today they are $81. Hoping they continue to go down and I'm hoping for a great deal like last year. Thought I'd share... I may be more excited for this than Christmas. :upsidedow

Just checked again and they have dropped to $79 per night...

Hi Hollypoast and hope you find that great deal.

A few things to remember, the exchange rate a year ago was about £1.00 = $1.63 while today it's around £1.00 = $1.56 so at the moment you're getting a slightly better rate.

Room rates are usually priced the same on any day of the week.

Some of the best savings on room rate this year were for short stays over weekends and holidays and a quick search show's there's a few worth considering for next year.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Standard Room Club Level
3 Nights: Fri, Oct 9 - Mon, Oct 12

Expedia UK: £557.94 (Approx. $872)

Disney UK: £903.00 (Approx. $1,411)

Expedia USA: $2,038.50

Disney USA: $2,038.50

That's a $1,166 (57%) saving on rack rate, can it get any better, only time will tell.

And hope Christmas is just as exciting Hollypoast. :santa:

I was hoping this thread would pop up soon :thumbsup2

I've been checking for my dates, week of Thanksgiving and first week of December, and nothing yet. Hopefully we'll get some great deals like we did this year :).

Disney's current UK room deal for 2015 started on 17th December and ends 31st March 2015, it's a different deal than the one offered 12-months ago so I'm presuming that is the reason why some savings have recently cropped up on Expedia.co.uk.

For any newbie to this thread who's looking for a room only deal then its worth checking out some of the earlier post so to have a better understanding, especially of booking in a foreign currency.

Also check out your credit card conditions as hopefully you'll find one that doesn't charge you a currency transaction fee, as an example Disney's Visa card will charge a foreign transaction fee of 3%.

I pointed out in yesterdays post that on Expedia UK there's usually no rate difference between a weekday and a weekend so there's usually a bigger percentage saving when taking a short weekend trip and here's a current example over 4th of July.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Standard Room Club Level
3 Nights: Thu, Jul 2 - Sun, Jul 5

Expedia UK
£199.15 - Thu, Jul 2
£199.15 - Fri, Jul 3
£199.15 - Sat, Jul 4
£ 74.67 - Taxes & Fees
£672.12 - Trip Total ($1,050.42 and if your card charges a 3% currency fee that's $1,081.93)

Expedia USA
$509.00 - Thu, Jul 2
$565.00 - Fri, Jul 3
$565.00 - Sat, Jul 4
$ 68.30 - Taxes & Fees per night
$1,843.89 - Trip Total

This 3-night example currently saves $793, so 43% on rack rate.
