Thanks op! I booked yacht club two weeks ago for $880 for 3 nights in October during the 10 miler race using the uk site, now I rebooked with the 10%, somehow my rate went down to $765! This is for.pool/lagoon view. Can't believe I got this rate, I was planning to spend about $1200 if they gave a 30% discount! otherwise we wouldn't have been able to stay here. Rack rate was $1830.

We just booked, too. Just over $1,800 for 7 nights at Beach Club Resort in June, standard view. We have three kids, youngest is two, and the Beach Club was one of the only resorts letting us book three kids and two adults. Slightly nervous, but it seemed too good to pass up, especially since we have premium annual passes and Southwest points. We are going to try to go in Nov., too., to take advantage of the passes before they expire. We were not planning on the Beach Club, although we love it there, due to the usual price.

Yes, there's not too many rooms for 3-children and glad you found one and there's some great rates in November such as over the 7-nights of Thanksgiving week at the Yacht in a standard Club Level for £1,449.35 or at the Contemporary in a Tower Bay Lake View room for £1,453.34 or £1,260.49 in a garden view and all before the 10% saving code. We posted the following a few days ago on the Disney Discount Codes and Rates forum but it hasn't received many hits so this comparison might be more useful here.

7-nights over Thanksgiving checking in on Saturday 22th and departing on Saturday 29th November for 2-adults.

Disney's Beach Club Resort in a Standard View Room at Club Level.
WDW: $4,974.78 current rate.
UK-Expedia: £1,449.35, approx $2,390.
Potentially saving up to $2,584 on Disney's current rate.

With the saving of $2,584 you could purchase two Premium Annual Pass for $1,552.78, leaving $1,030 to spend on meals.

Purchase a Tables in Wonderland card at $125 so that leaves $905.

As the TIW card saves you 20% that covers any tips.

And if you're a Target+Pharmacy gift card buyer then with the saving of $2,584 on room cost you could buy about $2,850 of Disney gift cards.

Therefore, for a similar cost to the currently advertised price on WDW for 7-nights room only, you could buy two premium annual passes, a Tables in Wonderland card, a club level room at the Beach through UK-Expedia, $900 towards dining with tips paid from the TIW savings and if you're a Target shopper then up to $266 in gift cards to spend.

The added benefit is with the Premium Annual Pass and the Tables in Wonderland card as hopefully you can get another vacation or two before they expire and with fingers cross another great saving on next years room cost.

So please correct us if we're wrong in our assumptions, but if not then isn't it worth booking with UK-Expedia rather than waiting for free dining or another saving?

Finally, booked our room for our July 2014 Family Reunion! The nightly rate at BC for 6 nights in a garden view room was less than the Military Discount rate, I was able to get for my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter!! Woo Hoo!! Even with my Florida Resident and AP discounts, I have not been able to get a rate this low for a Deluxe resort since 2005 or so! Just a quick question regarding the WDW Confirmation number. I received 2 emails from Expedia this morning, and the second one included a Booking ID which looks a WDW confirm number, however, it has "(24)" after the number, and when I try to link it on MDE, it doesn't pull it up but seems to recognize that it is a UK reservation number. Is the "(24)" suggesting that I wait 24 hours ?? A little puzzled. Can anyone offer insight?

If you go to the website and go to "My itineraries" in the right upper corner, then click on your reservation. In the right hand corner of that page it will either say booked or confirmed. It takes 3-4 days for it to change to confirmed but when it does it will have your WDW confirmation number that you can link to MDE.

Sorry but we haven't yet found a date for when the current Expedia offer ends, so we're presuming it's based on the current discounted room rates which the Walt Disney's UK Travel Company is currently promoting and that ends 3rd March.

So UK-Expedia's special rates might also end on that same date or sooner as Expedia will only have a limited number of discounted rooms.

Click on WDTC/Special-Offers. and sorry but you'll need to have a European home address to make bookings on the UK Walt Disney site.

It seems if you choose to pay in USD then you will be charged an extra payment, checked out previous posters threads for more credit card info, click on.... #153 #3 #58 and #74

Sorry but haven't been in that position and can only point you to the T&C's which seems to indicate cancelling and then rebooking. Disney doesn't make a charge for cancelling right up to 5-days prior to check in. Might be best to ask customer support by email.

3.5.3.3 Change of booking
If after making the booking a Customer wants to change the trip with respect to the date of travel, the destination, the place where the trip starts, the accommodation or the means of transport, the Customer should call 0330 123 1235 or email travel@support.expedia.co.uk. Changes to a booking will normally involve cancelling the original booking which may incur compensation and/or charges imposed by the Suppliers up to the full value of travel booked and Customers will need to pay for the cost of a new booking.

This seems to good to be true! We are planning a December long weekend to enjoy the Christmas stuff but the prices are so high. I was waiting for FL resident rates but even those never beat these prices. I found a room at Beach Club for $234 a night - I don't think I've seen it that low in a long time.

I have a Capital One card with no foreign transaction fees - is there anything else I need to be worried about? I'm a little nervous that it really is too good to be true!

Expedia said I should expect the refund on my credit card in 4-7 days. To my happy surprise the refund actually shows as a pending credit on my card already. The reservation has also been removed from my MDE account. I used the GBP rate when I booked my original reservation and the credit was just a few dollars less than I was originally charged - I assume due to fluctuations in the exchange rate. Hope that helps someone who is on the fence about booking.

That's great to know!!! So upset I cannot get the 10% applied. I wonder if you even had to cancel... If they price guarantee, even their own rates, couldn't they just apply it?

Holly in post 151 shared an email from Expedia about that. The price guarantee only covers advertised rates, not discount codes. Wish it could have been done but this was still pretty painless. My refunds from Disney posted today too, and I cancelled those on 1/28 so I was impressed with the speed on this one.

Prices appear to be on the rise. This morning a 4-night stay at Beach Club starting 3/20 was 642 pounds ($1,049). Tonight it's 779 pounds ($1,273). Beach Club isn't even available through Disney's current 30% off promotion, but Yacht Club (for a reasonable comparison of savings) is $1,860 with the 30% off promotion. So the savings was $800 earlier today, now $600. Still a nice savings.

Has anyone noticed prices improving? I assume they only go up as occupancy tightens...

I just booked 5 days (instead of the 7 we're planning) at the beach club, $211 per night, using paypal. I didn't want to mess with calling my CC company or a foreign tx fee and there are bills to be paid, so the other two days will have to wait.
