Disney dining unadvertised bargains?

We already knew to ask for ice water, and that things could be ordered a la carte but on our last trip we were surprised we could get a large side of Macaroni and cheese for $1.38. Are there any other super bargains like that that anyone knows about that might not be on the menu?

Which restaurants do you have to ask for ice water?

I think the OP means that at any restaurant, CS, or other food location in any park with a soda fountain, you can ask for and receive a lovely big cup of ice water for free.

Or you could pay $2.50 for a bottle of water, or blow a snack credit on one. Your choice! Me, I like free.

OP: how did you find out about the side dish? Was that the price for any side or just the mac & cheese? Just 1 restaurant or anywhere?

We've asked for an extra bun before at Pecos Bills (can't remember the cost but it was cheap less then $1) and got a double cheese burger. We split the cheeseburger and use the topping bar.

OP: how did you find out about the side dish? Was that the price for any side or just the mac & cheese? Just 1 restaurant or anywhere?

It was actually by accident, our son is only 10 months old so he wasn't going to eat a whole kids meal so I asked if I could just get the mac and cheese and the cashier said sure she gets a side of mac every day. It should work anywhere the kids meal has mac and cheese. It was a very large cup probably 16 oz.

OOH, ooh, I got one!

At Pecos Bill's, you can get all the sauteed 'shrooms you want. Also, they have melted cheese.

Put 'em together, SHROOMS AND CHEESE. FOR FREE.

Doesn't get any better than that.

Sounds like a good idea if my DDs spilt an adult meal but need a little extra.
