This is a little late, but we thought that we would post our short opinions on the table service restaurants we visited on our trip last month. It was myself, my wife and 10-year-old son. My wife and I have been to WDW six times, my son - 3 times. On this trip, we stayed in Pop Century and were on the DDP for the first time.

Sunday, August 3 - Garden Grille, Epcot - This was our first time at this restaurant. The restaurant slowly revolves around scenes in Living with the Land. The characters were among the most attentive that we have seen at any character meal (Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale). So much so, that they eventually became annoying because they kept coming back! The food was all family style and the waiter was very attentive. Our son was a bit picky at this meal and he only wanted to eat the green beans and salad so our waiter nicely brought Mickey mac and cheese. My wife and I thought the food was good. She liked the flank steak the best, I liked the catfish. Good start to our trip.

Monday, August 4 - Boma, Animal Kingdom Lodge - This was the second time for all of us at this restaurant. They have something for everyone. I was unsure about a few of the dishes because of my nut allergy and a chef actually came out to walk me through the buffet! The soups were all great and the desert section was extensive. This was our pick (all three of us) for the best restaurant on our trip.

Tuesday, August 5 - O'Hanna, Polynesian Resort - Second time for us at this restaurant as well. We thought that the food was great (and improved from the last time we had been here five years before). There was a lot of it and the waiters were very attentive. Our son's favorite was the pork. The bananas foster bread pudding put us over the edge. The entertainment (dancing, coconut races and limbo for the kids) was fun.

Wednesday, August 6 - Le Cellier, Canada, Epcot - First time here for us. I'm not a steak eater, so I got a chicken dish, which was very good. My son enjoyed his steak, but he got full and couldn't finish it. My wife got filet mignon and thought that it was the best she had ever had! Very good meal and the waiter was very friendly. This place is a close second to our favorite WDW restaurant now. We would definitely go back.

Thursday, August 7 - Mama Melrose, Hollywood Studios - We booked here as part of the Fantasmic dinner package. This was our second time here. We were not expecting a great meal (from comments made on the boards), but a good one. We were disappointed. My wife ordered steak (probably a mistake after eating at Le Cellier the night before!) and found it undercooked and tough. She decided to send it back (which she never does). The waitress asked if she incorrectly specified how to cook it (my wife knows how to order steak!). She asked for pasta vodka instead, which she thought was ok. I got a chicken and pasta dish which was good. My son got basic penne pasta and sauce, which he thought was great (hard to mess that up). He didn't like the bruchetta because they put melted cheese on it (not indicated on the menu). This was by far the worst meal on our trip and we probably would not go back.

Friday, August 8 - We were at Islands of Adventure and went to Mythos. Really good food and reasonably priced. We would go back!

We also were pleasantly surprised by the food court at Pop! The shrimp lo mein (which we both had for lunch when we checked in our first day) was among the best we have had and the breakfasts we had each day were good as well. Lots of variety.

Overall, we loved all of the table service restaurants we went to, except Mama Melrose.
